Oh Where oh where has the woosh fairy gone???
Oh where oh where can she be?????
With the wooshes timed right and the pounds gone away....
Oh where oh where can she beeeeeee????
(sung to the tune of "Oh where has my little dog gone?")

I have been maintaining for a while now.....at least it isn't a gain but I am not going to meet my Thanksgiving goal and now probably not the New Years goal.YUCK YUCK YUCK.It is time for the woosh fairy to visit me.

I do hope she'll pay you a visit soon, but like you said, you're not gaining so that's good and give yourself a LOT of credit for the 57 pounds you've already taken off!!! That is a BIG accomplishment and definitely something to be extremely proud of!!! ::yes::

I hope the Whoosh Fairy comes to visit you soon!! I have maintained for almost 3 weeks now...I wish he/she would come visit me too!:p

Perhaps if we all sing together very loudly, we'll attract her attention!! :teeth:

Hang in there, plateau's are inevitible. And like someone else already said, at least you are maintaining and not gaining. A friend of mine was reading an article to me and basically it said that during the holiday season you shouldn't set big goals for weight loss because you set yourself up for disappointment. Instead the article said you should strive to maintain during the holidays and set new goals for into the new year. The way I look at it is this, I will continue to do what I am doing and if there is some holiday eating that I wish to do I will do it, if I continue to lose weight during the holidays than I will be very happy, but if all I do is maintain than I will still be happy because I have accomplished so much already. Look at you, you have done a tremendous job to date and you can really see a difference, you should be so proud of yourself. If you don't make your New Year's goal that is okay because you will make it eventually!!

Sheila, boy, can I relate! It seems like nothin' is moving, which makes me want to do the same (not move). But, I had a weigh in at Curves this week. Lost a couple of inches, a few pounds and some body fat this month, despite the fact that I haven't seen anything at home at all. So I guess it's the s-l-o-w-l-y but surely time for us! ;) (At least until something kickstarts the body again!) Take care, take heart, and know that you are not alone!

Sheila try not to get discouraged. You have done great so far and you've been a big inspiration for me. You have lost a tremendous amount of weight. Your body may just need a little break to readjust.

If I see the woosh fairy, I'll be sure to send her your way. :)

Remain steadfast in your pursuit!!!!!!!!!! You will get there.

Well, she sure hasn't been at my house! I've lost less than a pound in the last 3 weeks. Maybe it's the time of year or something. She knows the holidays are upon us and we might need her more later!

I can't even blame TOM since I'm way past that. Maybe it's the funky weather we've been having here in PA. It's better to blame something than to think that all this hard work is not producing the results we hoped for.

I'll have to change my motto from "one pound at a time" to "4 ounces at a time" or something.

I don't know where that elusive little Whoosh Fairy is, but I can assure you she's not at my house either! Hope she shows up soon! If I find her, I'll tell her you need to see her right away! Meanwhile, hang in there. You've done such a great job so far. :sunny: I know you'll get off that plateau soon.

She's not at my house either but I'm maintaining and that's all I'm hoping for until the new year. Then it's back to induction for me :)

Remember, the AVERAGE (?) American gains 12-15 lbs over the holidays!!!!!!!!!
So maintaining over the holidays is a HUGH achievement.
I'm shooting for a loss.....like droping 4 pounds between T'day and Christmas. Would like to grab a 25 lb clippie in hopes of it motivating me to stay in control the Christmas/New Year week when I have a house guest.
