Where on land to watch ships leave port?

I think we will arrive in Port Canaveral in time to watch the Fantasy set sail the day before our cruise. We probably won't be ready to go to a restaurant since we'll want to check in at hotel, etc. before we eat. Where would be an easy place to park and watch the ships leave?

Fishlips restaurant has a good view. Jetty Park is good too but you have to pay if you drive in.

You can also go out on the pier in Cocoa Beach, however it's a little bit further down vs Jetty Park which is right there.

there is a small park just outside <west> of Jetty Park (parking fee) near the boat launch ramps. There is a large parking area which was formerly for terminal 3 ... no fee to park here. (right in photo below)

Similarly between Gator's (formerly Millikan's) and the offices of Miss Cape Canaveral fishing charters is a small park on the water's edge. Plenty of parking here for Gators and the fishing boats and all free. (left in photo below)

both of these area are small - probably generous to call parks. By the boat ramps I believe there is/was a picnic table. By Gators there is a small wood deck area with a bench. OTOH I've never seen 'a crowd' at either area. <btw, I go to Grills deck to watch ... technically you can get waterside here without buying anything but easy to grab a drink too>
