We just got back yesterday and I have to say DH wasn't greatly impressed with a lot of the places we ate at. Maybe we are just used to WDW dining which sadly for DLP is far better.
We ate at: Walts, which was very good, couldn't fault that and would eat there again.
Manhatten restaurant: My meal was lovely, I had the soup and a chicken dish. DH had risotto which he said was really bland and to be honest he wished he had sent it back. It tasted like it had been made using just water instead of stock and there was no seasoning to it.
California Grill: Now I think our problem here is the 1st time we ate there the meal and service was amazing, probably one of the best meals and best service I have ever recieved in any restaurant anywhere. My meal again was really nice. I had melon in lemon jelly with parma ham to start, then chicken skewers and veg which was jummy, then I had a strawberry shortcake with rhubard and ice cream for desert which again was lovely. DH had steak which he asked for medium and it came well done. For the price they are charging they really should do the steak like you ask for. The service was good again and we were seated at a table by the window so we could see the castle. The problem was the meal and service were good, but not as good as we have recieved in the past.
Blue Lagoon: I was really looking forward to eating here as I have enjoyed it in the past. However it was awful. We checked in and waited at the bridge to be seated. It was a further 5 minutes before anyone arrived to show us to our table. Then it was another 10 minutes before our order was taken. It wasn't even busy, there were only 4 other groups in there when we arrived! The food wasn't that great either. My chicken curry type dish had a lovely sauce but the chicken was so fatty I couldn't eat it. I had planned on having a desert, but after being in there for 1 hour 20 minutes and only having had 2 courses we decided to leave desert as we had more rides we want to go on. I'm not sure if I would try there again, the food was expensive and the service was awful, which was a shame as the restaurant is lovely.
Cafe Mickey: We were offered to swap our hotel breakfast at the New York one day for breakfast at Cafe Mickey. The food here was good breakfast food and the characters (Mickey, Minnie and Pluto) were great.
