Hi all-

My DH and I went for a "qiuckie" trip to Disney in August and watched some of Wishes for the first time. We actually were exhausted and was hanging around watching Spectro- then Wishes began...it was so beautiful BUT we were in a bad spot (over the bridge towards Fronteirland (I think)). So, we decided to try and relocate:earseek: :earseek: :earseek: Bad idea- we got on the bridge and could not move- so, I told DH to just head for Main Street- I heard it was nice to view from there. BIG mistake! We had to fight through crowds- no one would let us by- I had to hold the back of DH's shorts so he didnt lose me! We hit Main Street and oh my!! Even worse! Although there was a path made for us for a little bit-

Never mind my concern if there was an emergency! It just felt unsafe and way too crowded. I was so bummed out we didnt get to see the show.

Anyhoo, thats my story and now I am turning to all you experts to give me some advice- where to watch Wishes??? Is there some hidden corner you go to watch? I promise if I steal it on you I will share:teeth:

Just looking for some ideas!! Thanks!!

I can tell you where NOT to see Wishes. Fantasyland. It reminded me of watching a film from the front row, but with the screens on your right and left. So you are looking straight up, but moving your head left and right.

Not to mention that they block the straightaway from Fantasyland through the Castle.

We didn't plan on seeing Wishes but Philharmagic broke down and we ended up there.

I like Main St-- the key is to get a spot alittle early. I think the view w/ the castle in the background is beautiful.

We watched it from a bench by the old water ride launch place (not sure what used to be there) on the path just to the left of the tomorrowland bridge. It wasn't dead center, but it was a pretty good place, and the crowd wasn't packed like sardines

We walked out of CP after our Pooh and Friends dinner and had a great view of Wishes right from the steps of the Crystal Palace.

The bridge between the hub and Tomorrowland is the best place! You see Tink, and most of the firsworks seemed to be blowing over to the right of the castle.

We always have dinner at Ohanas one night and go out and sit on the beach at the Polynesian Resort and watch the fireworks. They pipe in the music and narration to the beach. You can sit in a beach chair and relax. You also get a great view of Spectromagic water show as it goes right by the beach.

Dh and I always camp out about 45 minutes before the show starts at the outdoor seating by the Plaza Pavillion counter service. It's right between Main Street and the entrance to Tomorrowland. We got seats right up against the railing, and didn't have to fight crowds at all. We get there 45 minutes before because we eat while we wait, but others got there up to 15 minutes before and still got seats. Great spot!!

You can always arrange a PS at like 830 at Ohana Grille and watch them from your table. That is what I did. They piped in the music from Main street - dimmed the lights and stopped serving. It was wonderful!

How long ago were you able to do this? This is exactly what I wanted to do, but someone posted that it was always roped off. Hope that's not true!

Some of it is roped off... the part that is down the stairs. That section is for those with the Silver/Gold plan. We used it in January. When we returned in May we sat at the spot I listed above, which isn't roped off.

When I was there in early December 2003, they did not pipe in music to the beach at the Poly. Has this changed ? Or is it certain sections of the beach, by the pool ?

I am planning a trip in September and would love to watch from the Poly beach again if there is music ?

No - To the Ohana Grille. They Piped the music in while we were eating. Just arrange a PS at like 830

Sorry if I was unclear!!!!

It's a different angle but we watched WISHS from Liberty Square.

You don't have a great view of the castle, but the fireworks are very close. In fact, they hose down the roofs of the buildings to make sure they don't catch fire.

There were plenty of benches to sit on and it wasn't crowded at all.

The only disadvantage was the amount of time it takes to leave the park, since you are a long way from the main gate.

That doesn't bother us since we like to let the crowds thin out prior to leaving.

I also think the Poly beach is a great location to watch them from.

We were at the Polynesian beach two nights ago to specifically watch WISHES. My sister was assured that the music to Wishes would be piped in. Well, it was not. We were disappointed, but it was nice to sit in a beach lounge and watch them in relative peace, away from the hustle & bustle of the MK.

Hi y'all!

I'm still trying to decide on a nice romantic restaraunt where I can watch the "Wishes" show, but I want to be able to hear the music, too.
So far, I've heard CG & Ohana, and Artist Point, but my DH does NOT like supercalalfragilistic...types of foods, (things you can't pronounce.)
Any recommendations for a good steak/seafood place with a great view of "Wishes"?

Narcoosee's at the Grand Floridian has lots of seafood and steak too. Not the best view but the best seafood restaurant with a good view. California Grill has better view though. Look up both menus at www.allearsnet.com - that will help you make a better decision.
