Where is the laundry and hot tubs at SSR?

We will be staying in a studio this December for 6 nights, so may need to use the laundry. Where is the laundry and the hot tubs. We requested the Springs area, so I would be particularly interested in the location of laundry and hot tub there.

near the pool - since the Spring is near the main pool - that is where they will be....

Each area has a laundry and hot tub. There are laundry facilities along the main street across from the Springs area and the hot tub would be around the theme pool. Then each quiet pool area has a hot tub and a laundry.

I had a difficult time doing my laundry during my stay there last month. They only provided 3 laundry rooms for such a very very huge place. I had to drive to another complex once (during my 5 day stay) to do the laundry.
If you are bothered by "smoke" ( from smokers), I suggest you avoid the very small pool at the Paddocks.

The laundry room by the main pool is very nice and very large. I have noticed the spa staff using the washers and dryers on previous trip, so you may want to keep your eyes open on that. You'll need you room key to get into the laundry room.

Interesting...I thought all of WDW was nonsmoking except for certain rooms in the resorts and specific locations within the parks. Now, I know that there are those who do not follow those policies, but it seems from your comment that smoking was allowed at the Paddocks Quiet Pool. Could you elaborate on the comment? I'm thinking you may have just had a bad bunch of smokers who didn't follow WDW policies.

One time I had to drive to the Paddocks complex because the laundry room area at the Congress complex was full and alrady had other people lined up waiting to use the facility. Luckily when I went to the Paddocks, one person just finished his chores so I was able to use the washers dryers. I thought I could sit by the "very small" pool outside the laundry room , but I was forced to lock myself in the air conditioned laundry room to get away (from the smoke) from the smokers at the poolside/ or at the tub.

Thanks for the reply! I am sorry that it happened this way for you! I hope it was just a fluke though...I have asthma and the smoke really bothers me so I hope it doesn't happen if we head to the quiet pool...not as likely since my Dniece is going...she'll want to got to the big pool.

Smoking is allowed at all WDW pools. I was surprised to find this out also. Last year we were at SAB and this guy was smoking a stinky cigar right there in a lounger, first row to the pool. I asked the lifeguard about it and she said they get complaints all the time, but the smoker only needed to be so many feet away from the pool edge. I believe it was 8 ft.

That was the only issue we had with a pool smoker in all our trips so I do think it is more isolated, but it does happen.

Thanks for the reply! I am sorry that it happened this way for you! I hope it was just a fluke though...I have asthma and the smoke really bothers me so I hope it doesn't happen if we head to the quiet pool...not as likely since my Dniece is going...she'll want to got to the big pool.

I have done my laundry on both past trips, no no no problem. stayed in springs and walked accross the bridge to the quiet pool, not sure the area, and stayed there with the kids and the hot tub is also there. did in the afternoon both time and never waited for a washer or dryer. good luck to you. i put everything in my wheeled suite case and weeled it right across the bridge and put all the clean clothes back in it and never unpacked it untill we got hom. have fun.

Thanks! I know I'm gonna use the laundry this trip...I just don't own enough shorts for everyday of our trip...I can't wear them for work, so I stopped buying them...plus it's less to pack...lol (And the area you described is the Paddock section.)
