Instead of donating toys this year for Christmas I am donating baby clothes to a non profit in my area. Where is a good place for deals on newborn clothing? I'm thinking Kohl's because I have a 20% off coupon but does anyone have any better ideas?

Kohl's is good. Also I would think Wal-mart & Target. Nice of you to do!

Do you have outlets by you? Carters and Oshkosh have amazing sales check on their site for 20% off coupons as well.. I get stuff cheaper there than walmart

The Children's Place has great deals on clearance. If you sign up for the rewards club, they will also send you coupons.

I've actually found that for basics, KMart is very good. They have lots of off-season $1 clearance items, and they consistently sell 2-packs of basic things like t-shirts and knit leggings.

They also have lots of licensed Disney baby clothes, but those don't tend to be priced rock-bottom, of course.

PS: Just noticed that you were looking for things for newborns. In that case, JCPenney. Use one of their coupons and buy their house brand: Okie-Dokie. These are very nice quality.

I have actually found Walmart and Target to be the most expensive and not very good quality. Lots of people love Old Navy, but I never ever find stuff there I like for DS and I find it to be expensive.

I get amazing deals at Carter's, Children's Place and Osh Gosh especially with the online coupons combined with their sales. And the stuff is much much better quality. We have several outlet centers nearby. Every now and then I hit it good at Gymboree too, but not as often as the other stores.

I tend to shop at Target, Walmart, and Old Navy when I get clothes for the babies in my family. Old Navy, at least around here, have good deals a lot of the time on the basics that baby's need like sleepers, onsies, socks, and full outfits.

I think it is really great that you are wanting to donate clothes for the Christmas season.

Are you a Costco member? They have great deals on Carter's stuff when they have it in.

While it seems like it would be the most expensive, sometimes I can find good deals at Babies R Us (Carter's mostly.)

Walmart had a lot of $1 newborn to about 9 mo l/s dresses this weekend and some $3 preemie outfits. I buy them for my dd's cabbage patch and can usually find good deals here.

If used is ok, check craigslist or hit some yard sales for some awesome deals on new looking outfits.

I have found that Target, Children's Place and Costco are where I find the best quality at the best prices. I find that I can get better deals than even outlet stores by shopping on sales & clearance. Walmart might be relatively cheap with some of the items but they do not last long. I hardly ever buy clothing there now. I know some Kohl's are great but sadly ours has very little selection for kids.

Target has some of the best prices on newborn sleepers out there if you buy the Circo brand. They are pretty sturdy pjs.

You can also have a lot of lucky at Kohl's if you shop the sales and use your coupons.

Sometime before Christmas (I don't remember when), Gymboree starts to have their twice yearly clearance sale. You can usually find items there for pretty cheap too if you are willing to rummage through the bins and racks to find the winners. I /love/ this sale. I get a lot of spring and summer clothing at that time.

Walmart and Target are great for the Child of Mine by Carter's line for baby clothes. Sleep and Plays for between $5-9 each. Not bad and they are decent quality and very comfy.

If you have a Carter's outlet nearby they always have crazy sales and great for baby clothes.

Wow! Thanks so much everyone. I have an outlet about 30 minutes away from me but I'm not sure what type of baby stores they have (I have never gone for baby clothes!! I think only purses LOL!!)

Great suggestions! I figure the cheaper they are the more I can buy right?

Believe it or not, our Walmart has a lot of cute baby clothes, and a big selection. I love Carters Child of mine and George brand! I also like Targets clothes but a little more $ than Walmart.
Costco has a lot of cute stuff to. Don't know how it compares in price.
