I am trying to figure out the best way for my Dh Whole family to have a disney vacation together.
I have added up how much it would be to stay on site at a DVC Resort but wanted to see how much it would be if we stayed off site in a rental house.
Does anyone know where are good places / websites for rental houses close to disney???
We would be driving so we will have transtorpation the whole time.
There is 25 people
14 adults :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
4 big kids ( 14 - 11) ::MickeyMo ::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo ::MinnieMo
4 kids ( 9 - 7) :wizard: :wizard: princess: princess:
and 3 under 2 :p :p :p

I do realize we will have to rent more than one place.
I have heard of Familes first but I have not really heard about any other places.
Please , any info would be helpful

Date: Either end of Nov or first of Dec

The week after Thanksgiving is a slow time of year. There are often AP discounts in effect at WDW. Ft Wilderness Cabins (sleep 6) might be had for around $170/night. Children under 2 don't "count" and there is a pack-n-play available in each room.
These are spacious facilities with a full kitchen, just a boat ride away from the MK.

Although you will want to make your ressies well in advance of having the AP discounts, you might want to reconsider being on-site if a good deal is available.

25 people including 11 kids??!!!

I have an idea!!! Put the other 24 in a huge tent at Fort Wilderness and then get a room for yourself at The Grand Floridian. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Sorry I'm no help. Good luck finding somewhere :)

We have never stayed on site always prefer offsite as we feel coming so far that we want to experience more than just disney, we want universal, seaworld and walmart. The last time we went we rented a house for our extended family ( no way as big as yours) and we have rented a house again for our upcoming trip for just the four of us. You could look at www.orlandovillas.com that is full of villas mostly owned by people in the UK

OK, this might not be exactly what you are looking for, but if you plan on a DISNEY vacation and not a FL vacation, you might be better off onsite with such a large family of varying ages. Chances are you'll be splitting up a lot. Disney transportation would be better too if the older kids will be on their own at all. When you checked into DVC, did you check into renting points at all? That would lower the cost considerably. And I'd check into all the different resorts (some cost less than others) and check out varying options of grand villas vs.one & two bedrooms. A few different cabins might also work out well. Depending on everyones budget, you could even combine WLV & Cabins. Otherwise, I think florida2000.com or something similiar (google it) might be a good place to do some research.

Hi from Cork :teeth:
Nice to see another Irish person here

I would also suggest cyberrentals.com as well as hotelkingdom.com. Cyberrentals are private rentals. Hotelkingom is a booking site that almost always includes some properties that are villas/townhouses/condos, etc..

Happy planning!
