Where is the best place to have lunch at the Studios

We enjoy Sci-Fi and 50s Prime Time...or you can head over to one of the Epcot area resorts for lunch??

Sci-fi Dine-in is affordable and fun. It's junk food but good junk food.

Hollywood Brown Derby is expensive, running late sometimes and is not "fun" per say, but they offer fantastic meals.

A friend of mine said her meal at Mama Melrose was very good.

I have a ressie at Scifi but is now 3 of us and I feel Sci Fi is not the best for odd number parties

I know they do have larger tables in the middle where the members of the party face each other rather than the screen, so it is do-able...maybe just something you could request on check in?

Food is food at 50s Prime Time. Ate at Brown Derby years ago and it was terrible.

The fried chicken at 50s Prime Time is some of the best I've ever had. It's a half a chicken or you can get all white meat if that's your preference. I subbed green beans for the collard greens.

Table Service: Sci Fi. I love it for lunch and it is always fun.

Counter: Starring Rolls. They just have two kinds of sandwiches, but they are very good and tons of dessert options.

Stay away from the ABC Commissary. Very, very bad.

We've eaten at Prime Time many times and have always enjoyed it...only other place we've eaten at HS is Fairfax Fare, typical QS food but I'm happy there because I can get a veggie burger. :)

Personally we wouldn't spend for TS at DHS. We eat at Starring Rolls (mainly for the great desserts) or Backlot Express.

I agree that the dining at the studios is not the best. After years of putting it off, we finally had lunch at Brown Derby last year and it was delicious. We rated it one of our best meals of the entire trip. Of course you'll want to have an adr, and it takes more time than a quick burger, but the food was really good.

Prime Time and Sci-Fi are fun experiences, but we didn't find the food anything special.:earsboy:

We prefer Sci-Fi and the Backlot Express. The food isn't anything great anywhere in DHS though.

It's even harder to get decent seating at Sci-Fi when you're just a party of two. They constantly want to put you in the "back seat" with other parties which is fine occasionally but every time?

Brown Derby is the only place in DHS where I feel like I'm actually getting a decent meal. Mama Melrose and Prime Time have food, if not the best food. Everywhere else, I basically turn my nose up at.

...Starring Rolls is probably the best of the CS, though. Sci-fi might be doable if you stick to burgers, but I've found their burgers dry and pretty tasteless no matter how you order them done.

Brown Derby is a favorite for lunch. It's one of my favorite in park restaurants. I've dined there at least a dozen times and have had a nice meal every time.
