Where is the best place to get a picture of Cinderella's castle?

I really don't like pictures from the front. I think the huge oval looks terrible on that side of the castle. Other than that, I have no idea why that irritates me. :confused3

I like the view from the rose garden also!

This is very nice! Next time I go, I'm going to have to try this angle.

Yet another side shot

I'm glad there is two pages of responses, all I could come up with is "The Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World" :lmao:

Are you talking about the big "magic mirror"? That was only there for the 50th anniversary (2005) and is gone now.

Here's another angle that I haven't seen in this thread yet... from the 14th floor at the Contemporary.

I would suggest taking all different views with the family and see which you like best. Here's a few more spots.

You can do reflections, too... this one has too many distractions in it (sometimes they're called "humans", I refer to them as "distractions"), but you get the idea. :)

I like this one. Do you have to stay at Contemporary to go the the 14th floor and take a pic?
No, we arrived early for a Chef Mickey's breakfast so I left the family wandering the shops and went up there myself. It was still fairly early, so a shot later in the day might be more spectacular, when the haze has burnt away more, or even better, at dusk. Anyone can go, just take the monorail from MK or the TTC.

Thanks!! I may have to make an ADR for Chef Mickey's just so I can do that. I think I'll go do some wondering myself!!!!!!!!! I went there for breakfast last time, but did not know you could go to that floor. Did you go outside or take it from a window?

I went outside onto the fire escape and attached my Clamperpod to the metal railing. I probably would have been fine with hand-holding but I wanted to get some use out of the thing. :)

Note that you will have to either have someone there to let you back in, or prop the door open somehow. When I was there, I was lucky that someone had already propped the door open with a noisemaker (this was the morning after New Year's Eve) so I was able to get back in easily. Of course, there's always a chance than Mousekeeping will close the door again, but probably not... and if there's one nearby, you might explain what you're doing so they know to leave the door alone.

If you don't, then you've got to walk the fire escapes all the way down to ground level.

I like the castle view from the Swiss Family Treehouse but I don't have any examples with me.

I always make adr's an hour before opening for the perfect, non crowded shots!! :cloud9:

I'm starting to like the side more and more.....

Front is good too though.....

It's a good shot from just about anywhere.
