I have hear many diffrent names of places to eat on this board and was wondering which restaurant is the best place to eat at sea world and why. thanks!

My wife and I enjoy eating at the Voyager's WoodFire Inn and Pizza (I think that that is the name) in the center of Sea World.

Granted, this is not the most nutritious meal, but the four-cheese pizza over a bed of fries works for me at lunchtime.

My usual place is the Smokehouse. I think they renamed it to something like "Smokey Creek Grill" or somesuch. I LOVE their beef brisket platter. It is divine! I almost always eat there. Heck, I'll even stop by just for the heck of it when I get the BBQ craving. ;) It's reasonably priced and delicious.

I'm also a recent convert to the school of Sharks Underwater Grill. I don't eat seafood, which made the menu rather limited.. but the service was awesome, the food was great, and the atmosphere is top notch! Only complaint was that there were too many screamin' babies in there. But it's to be expected at any theme park restaurant. The price is a bit high, too. But the food was great!

SeaFire Inn has good burgers, but I don't eat there often as I'm just not as impressed by their price or selection. Very good burgers, though.

I've never tried the pizza at Voyager's, but I have had their pasta. It was pretty tasty, but nothing special. But good nevertheless, they put a LOT of it on the plate... at least by my appetite. ;)

And if you're looking for a whole dinner experience... I HIGHLY recommend the Makahiki Luau! Fantastic food, fantastic show... just awesome!

=)

Thats such a tough question, because pretty much every place has a different menu, which is so refreshing as compared to other parks.

I've not yet eaten at Sharks because I tended to go to SW on the cheap, so I really just ate at the closest place to when I got hungry.

Loved the fajitas at Mango Joe's, love the tenders at the Spice Mill...

Really do need to eat at Sharks, though, because sometimes the smell of the grill going is intoxicating ;)

Totally! The smell is so strong inside the exhibit... I'd been contemplating trying it out for years, but always skipped it because of the price. But man, I finally gave in and checked it out a month or so ago... mmm, so good! :thumbsup2

Do you need ressies at Shark?? If not when is the best time to try to go without having to wait for a table?
Thanks! :)

For Sharks, reservations are recommended on busy days... as it can get to be quite a wait otherwise. But, here's the weird part... you can't make them in advance or call them in (unless you're an annual passholder). You can only make them in person on the day in question, so your best bet is to stop by in the morning and make a reservation at the restaurant early in the day. Or take your chances and try going at oddball hours.

For the other normal restaurants, there are no reservations (Smokehouse, Spice Mill, Mango Joes, etc). But for the special 'dining experiences,' you can make reservations online, by phone, or in person at the reservation desk (when you walk in the park gates, it's the first building straight ahead, across from the big gift shop.) These include: Makahiki Luau, Dine with Shamu, Backstage at Believe, Shamu Rocks Dinner Buffet, and the Sesame Street character breakfast.

You can book them online here: http://commerce.4adventure.com/estore/scripts/skins/swf/DiningBookNow.aspx

(It's hard to find that page on the website, so that's a direct link.)

Hi,

We're going in the Fall and I have a related question ... does anyone know anything about the Dine with Shamu or Backstage at Believe dinners - what's the difference? And what about the Breakfast with Elmo? Is it good/worth it? I'm looking for more details on each and the SeaWorld website is a bit vague. I'll be travelling with DD5 and DS3 - my DS3 LOVES "Shampoo" (Shamu was a little too confusing at not quite 2) from seeing him last October, so if we can really get close to him would be great, but the website is vague on the actual level of interaction.

Any information/recommendations would be great.

Thank you!!
