Where is the best place to buy multiday passes? I notice you can buy through this board. I don't want to risk money but we are planning a trip for the summer and there are discounts for buying on line, even directly from Disney. Has anyone bought through the links here? Does Disney authorize others to sell their tickets discounted rates?

It really depends on the pass that you want. You need to do your research on this.

Yes, one of our sponsors is www.theofficialticketcenter.com I have not bought from them because I always look for the best price on the ticket that I want so I buy from whomever has the best price.

Yes it does. These are ticket wholesellers who buy huge amounts of tickets from Disney at a reduced price (like buying at Sam's or Costco) and then they pass some of the savings onto their customers.

Here is a thread that I started that lists several of the places that people here have used successfully. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=731921

Good Luck! :)

Just purchased 5 day passes from ticketmania. I saved over 30.00 plus no shipping charges.

Personally, I'd rather spend a little more and buy them from Disney, than risk there being a problem. But others have booked sucessfuly from discounters. I'd take a look at your savings and decide if the the savings are worth buying from a non-Disney source. But that's just me, and I've bee accused of being paranoid more that once!

If you are a member of AAA, you can get tickets from them. You can call and get their prices from your local office. I haven't bought the new tickets from them yet, we bought some 5 day PH tickets in December from them just before they stopped selling them. That is where we have always gotten our tickets.

I haven't bought from this site, but I did buy from Mapleleaftickets.com. They were recommended by WDWIG.com. I bought them and received them within a week.
Though, I would trust the site that sells here, as well. I just didn't know that they sold here. I have now checked and the price is the same as the ones that I got.

I'm alittle confused about the whole expiration thing. They expire 14 days after you begin to use them, right? Why would someone buy a ticket w/o expiration? Repeat vacationers? :wave2:

I just received my passes from Official Ticket Center yesterday. I saved over 140.00 over the WDW site. I went with them over Ticketmania, becuase I thought the person I talked to over the phone there was more knowledgable. Also I could order over the phone at Official Ticket...Ticketmania only let you order over the internet. The only problem I had was that they e-mailed me the wrong tracking number for Fedex ( I had them send to me ), so of course Fedex had no record of them and I was in a panic. But I called customer service up and clear up the problem. The tracking number they sent had a digit wrong in it. You'd think this would be something they check carefully before they sent it out, wouldn't you?

Hi Donna! And welcome to the DIS! :)

Many of us here like the tickets that have no expiration to provide flexibility on our Disney vacations. IE: if you are tired, cranky, sick, "parked out" you don't HAVE to go to the parks just because you bought tickets for so many days and they will expire if you don't use them. Also, we buy no expiration tickets for the reason that you suggest - to use over 2 or more trips. If you buy the 10 no expiry ticket, you can easily stretch it to 2 - even 3 trips. And you are only paying $35 - $40 per major park day depending upon which options that you choose. If you know that you will be going back, it is always better budgetwise to buy the longest pass that you can. It is hedge against inflation since you know that the prices on passes will only go up.

Hope that I have explained this fairly well... :)

Thanks for the welcome.
Just got referred here from Cruise Critic. Just came back from the Carribean and am now planning my Disney trip in Nov. I think that you have a great idea. Buy the 10 day pass w/ no expiration and keep the other 5 days for the upcoming years. Is that right? If so awesome idea. Is there any end date to them at all? Thats why I stick to these boards for info. Where has been your experience for the best prices? We got a time share for free so we just need tickets. Also I have read no more meal vouchers after May? Bummer if so. Thanks ahead of time for all your help..
