Where is the artist rendering for the Villas at Disney Institute ?

I don't think Disney has released one yet. At least it wasn't included in any of the press releases that I've seen to date.

If they no longer have classes at DI, why don't they change the name?? I think they should.

Really what is taking them so long to show us what they think it will look like.

SgtPet, I agree the whole thing is being handled differently than in the past. They always presented a concept. First, they showed us all the plans for the Eagle Pines and then a few months later they announce that they'll build at DI....no concrete plans, no pictures. It said construction would start this spring. Has anyone seen anything happening? Also, the EPV are not mentioned on the Web site anymore. I sure hope it's a space consideration on the web site and not an indication of how far on the "back burner" that project has moved.

Okay I'm confused:confused:

EPV is different from Disney Institute? Where is EPV supposed to be locaed? I thought it was in the same area?

Boy, I try to stay on top of all things Disney, but I feel so out of the loop when it comes to DVC!!!!!!

The proposed Eagle Pines development is close to the Eagle Pines/Osprey Ridge golf courses, off Bonnet Creek. DI is across the lake from Downtown Disney.

For what it's worth, keeping up with developments at Disney could easily become a full time job. I wish!

The asbestos abatement is being done at the DI before the buildings can be knocked down.

In June, it looked like they were actually doing major work at DI (not building but working at taking down or preparing land in area). However, absolutely nothing was going on at Eagle Pines and area had not changed at all since I saw it last year.

Anniet, Eagle Pines, at the Bonnet Creek Golf Course area just east of Fort Wilderness, was actually announced well before Disney Institute (which will be on the lake looking out at Downtown Disney). The DI project seems to be one put together quickly after 9/11 and no concept pictures were given except they said there would be multiple buildings--I think Disney had concluded before 9/11 that everything they did, like institute courses, wasn't enough to keep DI rooms booked or conventions going there and 9/11 and the drop in tourism pushed them to the conclusion they had to do something to change the area and DVC, their most lucrative resort asset, was a perfect fit. The Eagle Pines one appears to be on hold for now.

They still have classes at DI, it is just for corporate groups.
