Where is Janet Jackson during the death of her brother???

She released this statement yesterday on CNN:

"Janet Jackson is grief-stricken and devastated at the sudden loss of her brother. She is in pre-production of a film and is flying immediately to California to be with her family."

I'm sure she's with the family by now.

I totally agree with this, but it did strike me as weird that I didn't hear anyone even mention her yesterday. I don't think she owes the public anything or that she should make a statement at all, but I was surprised yesterday that I personally didn't hear her even mentioned on anything I was watching.

I agree with you. I think she's probably overwhelmed with grief right now and is staying private.

Years ago, I think there was a rumor that Michael and Janet were one and the same because you never saw them together. Not true, of course, but that's what I thought someone would bring up when I saw this thread title. And now I have!

We haven't seen LaToya yet, either. I'm sure they're all in seclusion (understandable, no?) and whoever ends up in charge of the estate will have a HUGE task on his/her hands.

Paul McCartney made a very gracious statement about Michael Jackson and how privileged he felt to have been able to "hang and work" with the late performer. Always a class act, Sir Paul.

Indeed. I didn't make any statements to the press when my mother passed away. I wasn't aware I was supposed to.

I think Janet was filming for the new Tyler Perry movie -Why did I get married too (sequel to the first -Why did I get married movie) which is due to come to the movies Easter next year.

I saw Latoya per the news at the hospital yesterday.

I'm sure Janet is with the family now. My heart goes out to the Jacksons.

I don't think the OP was EXPECTING Janet to make a statement, was just wondering if anyone had heard how she was....
Because, I know, when we were at work and heard the news, one of my co=workers said "OMG< Janet is going to freak!"... Thats what I thought too, they were so close.
I feel so bad for the whole family... I have always loved Michael!!!

It was on TV alittle while ago. Janet is now with the rest of the family. Not sure when she arrived.

I think Janet flew in this morning. There are pics on TMZ. Also TMZ has pics of Latoya entering the hospital the afternoon he died..I think all family members have been accounted for.

Entertainment Tonght has just reported that Janet appeared at the BET Awards last night with Jamie Fox for a tribute to Michael. Just from the few second clips I saw, it looked heartbreaking.

Janet spoke briefly at the BET awards last night. I don't know how she did it. You could tell it was heartbreaking for her. Joe the dad was there the WHOLE night in the audience because a lot of perfomers were paying tribute to Michael.
