Where is Gas Station w/i 10 miles of Airport?

Staying at POFQ. Per car rental company, must show receipt of fillup w/i 10miles of airport. Don't want to buy their gas at almost $60 when last time we filled up for $19. Last time, they didn't ask for a receipt, but would like to be prepared, just in case.

We usually use 417, but this time we will be on the road on Friday 2/14 at 5-6am (yuk!). Isn't that too early for rush hour traffic.

Won't have an electronic toll card so can't go thru cashless spots.

Rather than 417, take I-4 towards Orlando take 528 East towards the airport. (I think this is Exit 68 Airport)
It is a toll road, about $2.50 to the airport. You can pay cash! Take Exit 8 off 528East, you will see at 7-11 for gas. The ramp back onto 528 is directly across the street and continue to the airport. I use this gas station all the time when returning a rental car. Receipts on demand at the pump.

There's a Race Trac on McCoy Rd / 482. That's just under 5 miles to the departure loop. Current price is 3.20 a gallon

To get there without tolls, and to stay off of I4 [5-6 am is NOT too early for rush hour ] go left out the Downtown Disney gate, and north on 435; in about 5 miles, turn right onto Sand Lake Road. It'll be busy, but not at a standstill.
Follow that, 9 miles or so, to the gas station, then hop onto the Beachline/528 (toll) to get back to the airport by regular channels.

Also, If you take Osceola Pkwy out of WDW, don't get onto 417 - stay on Osceola. It'll change to East Osceola. You'll go through a few neighbourhoods, shopping areas, etc. Then it turns rural - and connects up with Boggy Creek Road, which goes straight into the airport, just south of where 417 drops you out.

There are several gas station on that road, which (on our last trip) were cheaper than any of the stations around WDW or the north side of the airport.
Depending on how strict the interpretation of 10 miles is, you should find one there, but it's 8-10 miles, depending on how far out East Osceola you get, and how deep into the airport you have to go. That final loop around to Departures might put you over the milage.

If you are renting Hertz, Alamo, National-none of these ask for receipts.
Occasionally, you will get one that asks if you have a full tank, but thats occasionally.

If you fill at the HESS station near the entrance to the 417 and International, the tank will still read full when you arrive at the airport.

528 east to its exit 9 (Tradeport)
Left and cross under. Nice cheap gas station right there.
Leaving gas station side exit take 2 lefts onto Conway.
Get into middle lane, required right onto McCoy.
Next light is 436 (Semoran), take right to enter airport.

Us too! That's where we have always filled & no problem with reading full. But now some are requiring receipts & that station is about 16-17 miles from airport.

Looks like we will be renting from Thrifty or Dollar. Just got back & Thrifty didn't ask for receipt (used IDrive & 417 station as above). But we are going in Feb & thinking we may need to start getting a receipt, just in case.

That's the one I liked. Missed it, though, the last time, and ended up at the Racetrak, I think, that someone else mentioned.
