Best bet??

Get a good friend who lives in the states (i use someone from here) to accept it from DISNEY ONLINE STORE (shop when they have free shipping) and then they can send it REGULAR post. I just got a package that would have cost me 80 us to get here for a mere 20.

as i am in Canada, i wonder if i ordered from Disney on Line, and had it shipped to my hotel would that be an option. never done this so it will be a first. I figure shipping within USA would get the items(especiially costumes) cheaper then trying to find it here.

Is 2 weeks enough time to guaruantee in stock items will be shipped to my hotel in WDW on site?

This is from a disers post in the summer:

from disneyshopping.com

You can look on the disneyshopping.com website for shipping details and it will tell you how long it takes...I think up to 8 business days for standard? I just shopped about 2 weeks before and had it shipped, in the name field I put my name and "arriving xx/xx/06" so that whoever receives it knows when we are coming. They usually put a note in the computer so that it will pop up when you check in that there is a package waiting for you. It is stored in the luggage room, so once you check in they will actually bring it up to your room for you.

I guess it depends on how long you are staying...if you are there for a week, you can be a little less concerned about the timing because you have a little leeway. When we went we were only there for 2 nights, so it needed to be there before we arrived as we were landing on a weekend and I wanted to make sure we got it before we left.

I have heard of people doing this even for trips to Buffalo hotels.

Just a warning- I was at POP and had let them know I would be expecting a package from Disneyshopping.com It arrived early, they held it for 8 days and then shipped it back. They had no record of it on the computer and it wasn't until AFTER my vacation that I got it straightened out. I had written my arrival and departure dates right on the address. I had no problem with them crediting my money back but I was most unhappy as I had really wanted the stuff.:sad1:

When did you order in comparison to when you arrived? I thought i would order about 10 days in advance, or should i give more time?

ten days should be ok, they actually shipped fast. I had given it more time because I had ordered a pair of shoes they said would take longer. Good luck and Pixie dust!:goodvibes

I had it sent to my hotel once. I think it shipped out of South Carolina, so it arrived in Florida very fast.
