Is there a forum that's the appropriate place to ask for a doctor suggestion near WDW< should I need to be seen? Seeking a reputable podiatrist in the area who sees patients for emergencies, should I get an infection in my toenail while on the trip.

even if Advent Health is just urgent care they should be able to help you find the specialist. at least in my area urgent care can help finding a specialist granted not Disney area
Advent Health is a very large system and would have specialists of many kinds. Urgent Care would be able to refer you to someone.
Another possibility would be to ask your ‘home’ podiatrist if they have any contacts they would recommend in the area. You can also look for someone at the American Podiatric Medical Society

Why couldn't a doctor at urgent care, not necessarily a podiatrist, treat an infected toe (nail)?

Why not ask your podiatrist for whatever oral antibiotics or creams necessary to treat an infected nail?

When you get an ingrown toenail, only a podiatrist can remove it, etc, which removes the infection offender.

Ouch, ingrown toenails are painful, though I don't think I've ever had the double-whammy of an infection with it. Sounds as though you may have recurring ingrown issue with this, but just a reminder to trim the toenails straight across and wear rounded-toe (vs pointy-toe) shoes that doesn't pinch your toes. You might also try some epsom salt soaks each night -- bring along a small tub and you can do this in your resort room.

I'll just forewarn that knowing a doctor's name and getting an emergency appointment may be two different things. As a "new patient" they may not prioritize your request for an appointment. Around here it can still be a couple of weeks to get an appointment if someone isn't an already established patient at that podiatry practice. Urgent Care may be your best option as a back-up to preventative measures. If urgent care can't resolve the matter, then they could help to push you through to a specialist.

Already have that packed! I actually created the problem unfortunately trying to stretch out some shoes for the trip. Nothing new for me sadly, just very prone due to nail shape and toe shape from the way I walk due to joint issues.

Have you ever thought of having a partial toenail removal? The woman in my family seem to have an issue with the big toe's nail curling under causing issues. We have all had a wedge permanently taken out of them to prevent this. It is not really fun to get it done, but it solves the problem.

Or even total removal! Better than dealing with the same problem over and over

Believe it or not I had this done decades ago, I think it was a laser, and the nail grew back.

I don't know if you have time, but can you see your doctor before leaving on the trip?

I have never seen any laser treatment for this. They literally cut your nail out and put a chemical in there to stop the nail from growing back.
I had the ‘cut out and prevent it from growing back‘ as a teenager. It’s been a long time since then and never grew back.

This was literally almost 35 years ago or more. Pretty sure it was a laser? They probably don't do it anymore, since it did grow back anyway.
