Where in the world is that retainer ?? Moody family WDW trip report.

Jambo ! This is yet another TR from the Moody family. This time we were at WDW from May 10th until May 18th.
This was the first time the kids didn't know we were going to WDW .. they THOUGHT we were going to Maine .. (we love Maine .. but NOT until it's hot enough to go swimming) and here in MA that won't be until .. well maybe today !
We decided to surprise my Grandson, Maddox, for his 6th birthday with a trip to WDW. I had taken him to Disneyland in October (report still in progress) and he loved it, but refused to go to WDW. Not sure why yet .. but up until about a week before the trip anytime we even mentioned WDW he scream "Nooooo". But eventually he asked his mom if he could go to WDW soon and she said "we'll see". Little did he know we had this trip planned (so we think )

The cast of this trip is me, Michelle, single mom to 5 wonderful kids and 2 beautiful grandkids.

So, that's the gang ..

Most of this report will be in the form of video .. since I left my camera battery charger at HOME ! Luckily I had my iPhone and Jayden has his camera .. so we got a few shots here and there.

First I'll start with the reveal ..

Our story was that we were going to the beach in Maine to celebrate Maddox's birthday .. the kids bought that story hook, line and sinker !
So we sent them off to school that morning and told them we would see them around 11:30 (they have to be in school until 11:00am for ti to count as a whole day). We decided to leave on a Friday evening since it was Maddy's birthday that day and that way we would have an extra day since we wouldn't have to travel on that Saturday.
So after the kids went to school, we packed up the trunk and headed out to get the kids.

Then we presented Maddox with his birthday bag .. and the video tell's the rest of the story !

After a great plane ride .. although a little hectic for my daughter and son in law with a VERY active 15 month old .. we made it to Orlando and to Magical Express ! Gosh it all happens so fast .. I can't believe that was already 3 weeks ago !!

We booked our stay at All Star Music .. it was the cheapest Disney resort we could book at that very moment as this was going to be a very cheap trip !
We got to our resort at about 10:00pm and after settling down a bit .. went to bed ! My boys still a little shocked that we were in Disney and NOT in Maine ..

The next morning we were up at about 7:30 and after we got dressed in our bathing suits, headed down for breakfast. Of course it was Mickey waffles for the boys .. they had been waiting for these puppies (or should I say "mice") since last trip !
Then I let the boys play in the pool for a while and were eventually joined by my daughter and her family ..

Soon after we went back to the room and headed for Disney Hollywood Studios ! I was excited for David to see this since he is an actor/director/set designer. This park was going to be right up his ally .. and it did not disappoint .. he loved it !

We visited the droid factory and the boys got to make droids ..

Then we had ADR's for 50's Prime Time ..

Once we finished up there we were off to do some rides ..

Thanks. I would have had better, but these were all taken with my iPhone since I couldn't use my camera since the battery charger was at home.

Once we were done there we headed over to the Backlot Tour ..

We actually should have gone over to Lights Motor Action first .. but we ended up missing it .. I had seen it more times than I really needed to .. but I think my grandson would have enjoyed it. We'll be sure to catch it next time !

Once we left Backlot .. we headed over to do a first for one of my twins .. Jesse was still too scared .. but Jayden was ready !

Can you tell what ride it was ??

Yup .. Rockin Roller Coaster !!

He was a little hesitant .. especially once he was strapped in .. but after it was over .. he loved it !!

After that, Jill and David wanted to go on Tower of Terror .. a ride that I don't do .. ever .. ever .. never .. so I watch the kids while they rode !

After that we did a few other things .. like ride The Movie Ride again and did another spin on Toy Story Mania .. and the boys all rode Star Tours .. a ride that makes me and Jill's belly icky.

Then it was time for Fantasmic .. we don't usually stay for this .. we've seen it a few times and don't feel the need to see it each time .. but, again, it was David and Maddox's first time, so I wanted them to see it ..

Except Caddigan had a hard time staying awake ..
