I need something to share with family. We're doing a GG of 10 over Thanksgiving week. Just wondering where you ate, what time - lunch or dinner for your "big" meal, how crowded was it, how was service, the usual. Thank you!

In 2007 we had Thanksgiving dinner at Wispering Canyon Cafe and it was the best roasted turkey I have ever had and the best meal ever eaten there. We ate at 2pm the same we would have at home ane it was excellent. We then had the rest of the evening to walk off everything we had eaten too much of. Great time.

I know not everyone is a fan, but I think it would be neat to eat at LTT - the whole colonial thing, you know?

If you want characters then do dinner and if not, do lunch. We prefer lunch there.:thumbsup2

We had an evening meal at Yacht Club Galley (now named Captain's Grille) and it was very tasty. All of the ingredients were fresh and obviously not out of boxes :)

Buffet at the Cape May Cafe (I think) - I know it was at the Beach Club, and it was very good.

Great thread. We are going Thanksgiving week as well, party of 8, and have been researching this very thing.

LTT was not my favorite dinner during our last trip (due to service), BUT I would definately choose this place if we were going for actual Thanksgiving. We loved the food and the characters (all dressed up in their colonial attire!:goodvibes). Colonial theming is most fun for kids on Thanksgiving IMHO. Our poor service could have been due to an off night and the theming certainly offsets it!

I agree that you should at least try lunch, if you are not interested in the characters.

Anyone go to 50's Prime Time? Was thinking maybe the "home" atmosphere would be fun.

Some of our group is leaning towards LTT, but their food is so, well, eh. I was hoping for something tasty, KWIM?

More of you were there for Thanksgiving. Where did you eat?

We tried to do LTT for Tgiving in 2002, but were too late to get a seating. So we (reluctantly) reserved Crystal Palace. We always loved CP for breakfast, and were planning to be in MK that day, hence our choice. We were thrilled with their Thanksgiving meal!!! There was a variety of choices for those who didn't want to go traditional, and the roast turkey for those who did was just devine!! I know it doesnt seem like a logical choice for thanksgiving dinner, but honestly, we were all very happy with our choice.

i couldn't imagine eating TDay dinner at anywhere else in WDW than LTT ~ LTT is the entire idea of TDay, everyday (imho, of course ;) ).
btw, we find the food very good, & the atmosphere a lot of fun without being overly "cute".

:)
