Can I point to it without getting out on a ladder?

It has been quite a while since I have been on here. When I logged in, I started back on the first page of when we turned 21. Wish Photobucket didn't do what they did back then. I can't remember the pictures that I had used back then.

For reference about the back then.... we turned 21 years old 9 years ago. Boy has time flew while we are having fun. Going to try and get back on here more often. Have to get Toni to sign up too.

So beautiful! Do you remember the tv show "China Beach" with Dana Delany and Marg Helgenberger? It ran from 1988 to 1991 and had many great stars and some beach scenes.

Now if the board was doing everything the way they used too, we would be about 33 years old now.

Now with that said, our generation would be buying another extended warranty for the extended warranty that ran out on all of our Hoveround Mobility Scooters.

He and Amanda are on their Vietnam trip; in fact, right now they're on board their flight from Hanoi to Da Nang!)

Yes you can point to it without a ladder but you WOULD need a ladder to touch it!

I LOVED China Beach...have the entire series on DVD and pull it out to watch often. We used to plan our whole week around that TV show! Some of the episodes were hard for David to watch though. Makes me wonder, in the picture of him on the balcony, what thoughts are going through his mind. It IS beautiful and anxious to check Amanda's photos of the area. They went on their first tour yesterday and she does her posting when they return ... while we're sound asleep back here at home. It gets confusing. Yesterday our group text had a good laugh when Amanda was TOTALLY surprised I posted at 7:30 pm. SHE commented it "must be snowing in Texas if Mom's UP already!" She was going on "their time"...7:30 AM. Allie was the first to remind her "it's EVENING here in the States"! She adds SO many photos to her Facebook album, it takes quite some time to view them so I usually put that off until after dinner when my daily chores are done. David's really looking forward to tomorrow's adventure (weather permitting)...tour down in the Mekong Delta region. That area was his "base" most of the time he was stationed there.

As for the hat......he said it "keeps the sun off his head and face"! Amanda had one too but it's more colorful. They've found some interesting items... "Texas BBQ flavored" potato chips among them and David said in his phone call this morning he's eaten more than a few things that are a "mystery" but it's all been good. He's discovered he really likes bean sprouts! MY only request from Vietnam was coffee beans; a friends son brought some home for her and she said that is the BEST coffee. David's been enjoying it often...in cold brew form. Yesterday's heat index was 108!

You must have some time on your hands figuring out we'd be 33 now! That's amazing; our group HAS been together for a few years and it's been FUN! The pictures are priceless and I STILL get complaints from the family to "take my picture here"; things never change and it's nice they "humor us" with those memories!

My "extended warranty" IS running out and, honestly, I'm ready for that Hoveround Mobilty Scooter around here but it would have to be enclosed with AC! Taking care of David's garden AND my yard plants in this heat is wearing me down...summer HAS arrived just in time for me to be on "double duty". Allie even decided against a trip to the beach today; heat index in Florida is the same as it is here in Texas. She's "hibernating" in her apartment and I'm having to do chores in bits and pieces. Days like this are why I can't "do Disney" during the summer anymore. Sara and the girls are leaving for DW the day David and Amanda get back. They'll be a lot of pool time for them on this trip!

Are you in Maine this weekend opening up your cabin? Our schools last day was last Wednesday; graduation was Friday night so ya'll must be close to what...2-3 weeks left?

Yes we are in Maine. It’s cold and rainy and I’m sick. I just want to go home. My nose is so stuffed up I can’t smell anything. I’m starting to get a cough. One of my coworkers had something similar for the past three weeks she couldn’t taste anything for a week. She was really sick but came to work anyway.
