Just when I was saying our temperatures were still mild we get a little cool weather! Temperature dropped 20 degrees in 30 minutes late afternoon! After dinner I went out to continue decorating, turned around to go change from my shorts to sweat pants and a flannel shirt! It's 49 degrees this evening!

Oh my goodness...we were just talking about that during dinner! My heart always says "A&M" but they've SO disappointed me last week and earlier in the season! Katie's boyfriend (the football player /analysist") says A&M and simply because the game is at Kyle Field with 100,000+ RABID/CRAZY 12th Man Fans, I'd have to go with A&M too. It's gonna be a "head knocker" for sure. We'll be enjoying it at a wedding reception! The bride and groom had set the wedding date BEFORE the announcement that the rivalry would be renewed this year and the entire family was sick! 75% of the immediate family have season tickets and bride is an Aggie graduate. SO...they're going to set up a big screen TV in the main area for viewing! Will be a fun night...especially WHEN A&M pulls out the win. I feel like it will be a close game though, maybe decided in the last minute ... ; I'll be surprised if the point difference is 10-14 points, think it will be much closer.

Since Amanda and Bryan are leaving for (soon to be SNOWY) Colorado tomorrow for a Colorado Bulldogs football game, we had our "Family Thanksgiving" this evening. PLUS we got to celebrate Allie being accepted for a research project with NASA! YES...she's excited.

GOOD LUCK! It's the hugest rival game in Texas and will be insane! They've played each other for decades but was suspended when A&M joined the SEC. I remember, as a little girl (which was a LONG time ago) we'd watch the game during our extended family Thanksgiving gathering; half the family pulled for A&M, the other half for Texas. Always a fun day! Grandma would get SO mad when we got to loud over "that stupid football game"!

Was really hoping to make some good progress outside today with decorating but OMG the south wind is SO, SO strong! No way I can put my lighted trees up during one of those gusts! Expecting much cooler weather this evening but not sure what's going to happen when the north wind meets the south wind! Meanwhile...another to work on:

Same windy/cooler forecast here; one reason I was trying to get as much done outside! Allie helped me with the trees so they're done and working on front porch lights tonight. Getting close but still 3-4 more days as slow as I've been!

But now you have to decorate in the SNOW! Hope it's not much so y'all can get a few things up! I'll start on inside after outside is done! Our yearly goal is to turn our lights on Dec. 1st and we're going to be CLOSE this year! Did finish the last of the lights tonight; now it's the yard signs, bows, ornaments, front door...the little extras and David is still working on the trees he's responsible for. HOPE I can get close to finishing Friday so I can get all the boxes back in storage on Sunday. Have one tree up but no lights or ornaments yet...my Cowboys tree...haven't had time to put it up the past couple years so it will be the first one up this year! Planning on getting 4 up this year and really hope I can do more Christmas baking than I have the past 2 years. Snow Village IS up though so I'm happy with that! Last year at this time we were in Houston for the Thanksgiving Day parade, playoff football games and planning our trip to New York City! Strange not being "on the go" but also NICE to finally have time to get things done!

Sounds like you’ve made a lot of progress.

Don’s brother and wife and their kids and grandchildren are all at WDW. I’m so jealous. Today was their first day at the parks. They are only there until Sunday not a very long stay. Then they visit her aunt until Tuesday.

Oh wow...I'm not sure I'd want to battle the crowds! Haven't looked at any waits, maybe it's not so bad on Thanksgiving and weather should be nice. Sure is a short stay at DW but a little bit of Disney is better than none. Hope they have a good time; nice vacation...wish you had something scheduled! It's time you get back and check out the newer stuff! Had a Thanksgiving greeting from Ed this morning...makes me want to be back in Florida too!
