Got all the outdoor Christmas decorations put in storage boxes and storage shed packed away until October when we start all over again! 
Still enjoying the inside ones though.

Our outside lights are still up. I like them we now call them our winter lights
; at least the ones on the house! There's one house in town that is still lighting their Christmas lights...and tree! We noticed it Wednesday coming back from the high school soccer game! I think it was June last year before they took them down! My goal was to get everything in before the rain tomorrow and Saturday! Took some "dedication" this week but pretty proud of myself that I got it done...AND the storage shed straightened out today! Ready for the predicted "stormy" Friday night!
I'd love to leave the garland over the fireplace up all year! It just gets so dusty when we have the dry summer months I'd be sneezing ALL the time! Still up for now though but will have to get it down soon. I love the "winter lights" idea! I may try to talk David into that next year

Those 5 soloist got to perform before the Awards for the entire gym full of people! She was visiting in the stands with us when they made the announcement an hour before the designated Awards time and she was SO, SO EXCITED!
(Last year she literally saved one of her friends from an attempted suicide.

Yes Ma'am...the section and what it's close too.
Both DGD's have had a REALLY special year so far! Today it was Katie's turn...and mine! She's performing 2 dance competition solos this year and today she surprised ME with one of the costumes! She had it specially made and picked MY very favorite costume color...emerald green! (It's hard to see the actual color on this photo but it's a beautiful green!) She met us outside the auditorium door with a huge smile..."Mimi...just for YOU!

THEN it was her turn for the surprise! (Diane...SHE NAILED IT!) Her other solo was named to the 11/12th grade TOP 5 SOLOS (out of 31) of the competition! First time a Brahmadora's solo has been named!
WHAT a powerful solo it was! It's about teen depression and suicide and it "spoke volumes".
AND THEN...during the Awards...the contemporary number she choreographed for the Brahmadora Elite Team was named First Place BEST IN CATEGORY CHAMPION!
Pretty special day for her!

Yes Ma'am! I'd have loved to hear the group performing here but no time to wait for the next show! Always SO much entertainment available during the holidays! Told some friends yesterday who are planning on a Thanksgiving trip next year to not even really plan anything for the parks...just enjoy the "perks"!
