What an
ADVENTURE! We love our Friday night football and that love was tested tonight!
Started the day at 82 degrees; ended it at 46 and torrential RAIN! Just a little chilly at the beginning of the game but very windy. Excited to capture the first TD against the team that has knocked the Brahmas out of the playoffs the last 3 years!
AND THEN...as soon as the Brahmadoras took the field for their halftime performance the sky opened with BUCKETS of rain blowing sideways and sending umbrellas flying!
Five minutes into the 2nd half I couldn't do it! My hands were frozen, I was sitting in water and the temperature had dropped to 46. David stayed but I gathered my camera bag, 3 blankets and a raincoat and started for the truck with key in hand. Got there, opened the back door (but didn't totally unlock the vehicle) and DROPPED the D*** KEY! It bounced UNDER the truck! Got on my knees to try and reach it and it was this far ____ from my fingertip!

Gave up and climbed in the back seat to warm up. My fingers were so cold I couldn't get them to "work" on my phone to pull up the live broadcast of the game.

Had promised to text scores to Allie so wanted to get out and look at scoreboard....instead...I SET OFF THE TRUCK ALARM!

Can you say 'HOT MESS"?

Called David....he walked to the back of the stadium and managed to "turn the noise and lights off" with his key

and I didn't MOVE

until I warmed up. Managed to get live broadcast going and got to watch the end of a great game! Defense stopped the other team as they were driving to tie the game; BRAHMAS WIN 27-20

and live to play next week! Sure hope I'm "over the pneumonia" I'll probably get by then!
