We have RAIN this morning! Of course it comes on the day of the last home football game so everything will be a "wet mess" but showers should end by game time. Last "crazy busy" weekend of the year for us. Allie's last soccer game tomorrow; will NOT miss the 4+ hours road trips but sure will be nice having that extra weekend day to work on Christmas decorating! Football LONG road trips start next Friday with the final regular season game and them playoffs but at least, for now, those road trips should only be around 2 hours.

Happy, sad night for the last home game of the seniors. Katie FINALLY got her Letterman's jacket! She earned it last year but time got away from them and they forgot to order it! ...good to see the Seniors honored for their 4 years of practices, games and appearances at extra school activities. But...sad to see their high school years ending...especially Katie's BFF, Jayden. Another win for the Brahmas...no doubt tonight as they defeated the Tigers 60-14. Off tomorrow for Allie's last soccer game...maybe. Lots of rain and bad weather in Texas today; coaches are meeting at 10:30 in the morning to determine IF the game will be moved to a turf field and, IF it is, they may start earlier than the posted 5 PM start time. If, at 10:30 they decide to play at 1 we won't be able to get there in time. 4 1/2 hour road trip ahead! So we wait for their decision.

Won the last game; Allie played about 20 minutes! Rough game so glad she wasn't in longer! Enjoying Cracker Barrels Country Fried Turkey! Oh my goodness...it's SO good!

We FINALLY got home at 1 AM; Sara & Treavor at 1:30 and Allie isn't suppose to get to Brownwood until 4 AM but worth the long day! Every Yellow Jacket played and emotional end when seniors said goodbye to their college soccer career. Lots of hugs, a few tears and happy faces celebrating the friendships they've formed. Last week David was in far West Texas (18 hour road trip); this week he was in the Piney Woods of far East Texas (9 hours on the road!)...861 miles apart! Glad the long road trips are over; sad the soccer season has ended but now we make the decision if we're going to take the ultimate road trip to Liverpool, England next year! Making those memories...

This was one of the best Cracker Barrel's we've eaten at in a few weeks! Allie wanted to go to Salt Grass; Sara called for wait times and it was almost an hour. Allie went to shower and get her things together for the trip home (they got home at 4:40 this morning!) but we didn't want to wait that long. I was hungry and we faced that LONG trip home so we opted out of Salt Grass and so glad we did. Even got a couple of Christmas gifts too! The only thing holding us both back on the trip is the length of the plane ride. Neither one of us can sit very long without a few minutes of "stretch time" and we both have claustrophobic issues. We're "pushing it" on a 4 hour flight and the one to England is A LOT longer! We talk about it almost every day ; we REALLY want to go (and do some side trips to a few other countries too) but just don't know if we can handle it. My cousin flew to Israel a few weeks ago and she said it was "brutal"...and they flew 1st Class!

Amanda loves Halloween as much as you do! SOME of her decorations she and Bryan put out for their party last Saturday night! The last one was FUN...she's chases you around!

actually the weather turned out great as you can see by the photos i posted.

we got about 150 kids to the door and we were only out for about an hour and the kids got lots of candy

oh wow we don't decorate that much that is crazy, may when the kids get older and don't go out we can have a Halloween party and decorate the inside of the house like that
