BUSY Friday! Finished the cake for Sara's school's fundraiser tomorrow night, made chicken salad for dinner, got Valentine's gifts ready for Allie and Emily, soccer game (Diane....made it to half-time before I had to put on my gloves and get my blanket out...."warm"compared to your temperatures ... upper 40's tonight!) and got all the gifts under the Christmas tree for Sunday's Christmas! SO nice to hear parents call out to Allie when she walked in ...and KATIE even came! Discussing the current team (could be a LONG season for them despite the win tonight) and found out after Allie's senior year she was ranked 9th in the nation in high school goals scored! She "forgot" to tell us with all the turmoil of her senior year in 2020!

Is it a ride? Staying warm so far. The coast is going to get hit hard, blizzard like conditions and Boston is supposed to get 32-48 inches.

Sara puts in her request for Dr. Pepper Cake every year! One of these years I'm going to make it a 3 layer cake like it's suppose to be but the 13 x 9 pan size is SO much easier! It was "chilly" out but tolerable for us since the wind wasn't blowing. Best part was not HAVING to take pictures if I didn't want too so once my gloves went on they stayed on! There were games last year when my hands hurt so bad after a game I couldn't drive home! We were talking about the latest members named to the High School Sports Hall of Fame. Allie asked if I thought she would ever be inducted since soccer "isn't football, volleyball or tennis" . I told her, after sitting BHS records that will stand a LONG time, I felt like there wouldn't be a problem! Time will tell; she still has a few years before she's eligible.

I've been watching the Weather Channel this morning and it's unbelievable! Total white out conditions in some parts! Heard one area had 95 mph winds ; that's a Cat 2 hurricane! Hope y'all keep your power!

BEST Christmas EVER! I kinda like this "2nd Christmas" thing ! Amanda and Bryan gave me a Skylight Frame; we spent an hour after lunch getting it set up and transferring photos. Especially love the "old" photos Amanda shared! AND...Sara and Treavor surprised us with yet ANOTHER autographed Cowboys jersey! One of the "great ones", "Mr. Cowboy"...Bob Lilly! Bryan LOVED his shadowboxed Rocket's jersey and the "great pickle ornament" search was a good one again! Neither one of the girls could find it until I gave them clues!

Yes...it's really cool! Hanging it on my kitchen wall so I'll have "my girls" close to me! Pain in the backside getting the photos transferred though! Have to pick out "favorite" favorites since space IS limited but for sure something I wouldn't have bought for myself! Need to get the new jersey framed and David wants to make that so may be awhile before it gets displayed. He has some old wood from Bellville's old Post Office that's really cool. He used that for Bryan's shadow boxes. At least I haven't rehung all the personal photos since we remodeled so I DO have the wall space for it. My nephew is SO JEALOUS! His boss (principal of the Jr. High he teaches at) is a HUGE Cowboys fan and he'll be the first stop to show him the picture! Allie goes to the doctor at 8:30 and then a long drive back to Brownwood IN THE RAIN to get to her 2 PM class! THEN she's going straight to the grocery store! Heavy snow predicted starting Wednesday and by Thursday night a temperature of 9 degrees! Pretty big difference for her; today's high was 75! We're suppose to be in the mid-20's and maybe/maybe not get snow/ice. Forecast for us keeps changing. Probably WON'T be going to the soccer games this week!

That's a big difference in temps. We didn't get the amount of snow they said we were going to get. Maybe 6-8 inches it's hard to tell because the wind was blowing and the snow was so fine it just blew everywhere so there are snow drifts. Where we go in Maine got 24 inches.
