Needed to make a medical trip to Bryan/College Station which went faster than expected so David and I were able to "wrap things up" ... would be even BETTER if the gifts WERE wrapped!

HOWEVER...the day felt more like a SUMMER DAY TRIP! Can you believe we had a record breaking temperature today with a high of 87 degrees! We are SO TIRED OF THIS! Going to drop into the 50's on Saturday but only for about 48 hours; next week it's back in the '80's again! PLEASE send us some cooler weather from "up north"....!

I hate the malls at the best of times so going during Christmas is a no no for me so we get it out of the way early
plus Ella's birthday is at the beginning of dec so we need to get all those gift done first

I’ll gladly send you some of our weather. It’s been cold and snowy the past few days. Didn’t really amount to much. Yesterday’s drive to work was slow and slippery.

We stay out of the malls too....haven't been in one for probably 3 years now. Academy is high on our list with all the sports minded family members; Bath 'N Body, Hobby Lobby, Home Goods and local "Mom and Pop" shops along with craft shows starting in October. Plus AMAZON ; almost all of Katie's "wish list" was an online purchase (hair and makeup products ) and Allie LOVES getting food gift cards so they don't have to cook after soccer practice. Plus...did bring home a LOT of gifts from our DW June trip. Now....getting them sorted, boxed and wrapped......and getting the tree up is next on "the list".

We'll take it! It has been positively miserable and I have a beast of a cold from the up/down temperatures. Don't need this "energy zapping" health issue at this time! Today we're "fighting" the south wind....up to 30 mph gusts and the outdoor Christmas decorations are being "beat up"! Going to the high school soccer scrimmage this evening at 5 and we'll be facing the wind which won't help my cold either! SO ready for cooler temperatures that will "hang around"; 56 predicted high Saturday after front arrives and by Monday it's up to the low 80's again! ENJOY the "December weather" (but drive safely!)...it would be a blessing for us!
