This was our first "measurable" amount in about a month; a few very small showers but this was a "gully washer"! It was time; was getting really dry with the higher temps!

I got 0.25 inches of rain day before yesterday!!! The rain was wonderful, the most rain since June! But it came with a lot of lightening. 23 new fires up here Wednesday morning. 4 in my "neighborhood", near my friends. but not too near to me. These firefighters are incredible! I think, even with all the fires we have had up here this summer, they have only lost one structure.

Yep...you need some rain! But almost not worth it with all the lightening; that's a lot of new fires! That's amazing that only 1 structure has been lost. Firemen are pretty awesome; have a couple living on our street (our FD is volunteer) and they're all good, hardworking, knowledgeable men! Hopeful your neighborhood fires are kept under control!
