Got my return days mixed up ...made it home a few hours ago after a FUN few days in Galveston. Brought home some "hardware" too . Thursday was BUSY; Studio earned 6 trophies ... all of the Princesses dance groups placed and Hip Hop got 2nd Overall!

A group of girls had a marathon photo taking session afterwards (2 1/2 HOURS ...the last 30 minutes IN THE RAIN)!

Started Friday with lunch at Nick's on the Seawall; the manager insisted on taking a picture of me with Katie ; Lime Tequila Talipia with creole rice with shrimp before shopping on The Strand (and King's Confectionery) and competition later...

...Mickey bags on stage for awards ; group dinner at Joe's Crab Shack but David & I made a trip to the Gumbo Bowl to get Katie "the best macaroni and cheese she's EVER tasted" (it WAS good) and then a walk on the beach at sunset complete with Hurricane Barry storm clouds on the eastern horizon...say a little prayer for DD's brother-in-law's family. They live on one side of the Mississippi River and Courtney's parents live on the other side. They're BOTH looking at flooding if that storms drops as much rain as predicted. She said the river is ALREADY at the top of it's bank with the water that's flowed down from the northern states. VERY worried....

...and last day with the performance of A Whimsical Take on Disney and a 1st place trophy again! Left the Convention Center under a cloudy sky and stopped at one of our favorite restaurants...Kelly's for Chicken Fried Chicken for lunch :

It WAS fun but will be glad to sleep in my own bed tonight! NOW...to get through the next 10 days ! Treavor and Allie are doing pretty good in the fishing tournament too; they've caught "the limit" both days and Allie reeled in some "award winners" today! Spent the evening "playing" with my "photo session" pictures...

It's PicMonkey on SmugMug...and they're discontinuing it!!! Not sure when they'll stop using the program so I've been spending all my "spare" time playing with the dance and soccer pictures...and then trying to decide which one I want printed out! I could WALLPAPER a room with them all! One of my photographer friends on Facebook is going to research where else PicMonkey might be available; she just fell in love with these pictures! She's from Katy but always takes the time to come to our soccer playoff games and takes some REALLY good photos...she has a G-O-O-D camera and gets professional shots; we could be REALLY creative with her photos!
