Ed you make a beautiful princess. How on earth did you run a marathon in that long dress?

Very slowly.

The heat advisory had been issued for a couple of days. I think one day they were one degree off a record high. I am pretty used to the heat and humidity when I do my training but with the wig not allowing ventilation and there was no ventilation in the dress at all. Taking it slow was the only option really. The wig did come off between miles 4 and 5. Then came off again at mile 7 through 12. And at those water stops water was getting dumped directly on my head. The heat during running was the only drawback from an otherwise absolutely great weekend. Monday did cool off and if we had the run the half that dayM it would have been so much better

Have to remember that second childhood term. I love it!!!

When is David going to run any races with the Granddaughters? Hmmmmmm .

Great pictures Ed! What a great tradition!

It has become something great. The first was such a fun time that we decided to keep doing it. I mean I cried driving back home because that weekend was over!

Now we have to wait to see what the theme will be for Princess 2020.

Wasn't last years race a record cold one? Hope the "heat advisory" isn't a sample of things to come this summer!
