This is from a shop.

Nick's finger is broken. It's his right hand index finger so he has a bit of trouble with things. Has to wear the splint for awhile and the Dr told him to take it easy and "not to do anything stupid" He's kind of upset no going to the gym. Hockey is off for a few weeks but the high school alumni game is Friday.

Poor guy! I'll bet he hates missing the alumni game! At least I'm ASSUMING he'll miss the game! That's going to hurt for awhile...especially when he bumps or hits it against something. Hope it's not to bad for him!

I'll start with our favorite...The Emporium.

Poor Boo I wouldn't want to go out in a hail storm either.

Haven't gotten the silly dog out since 7:30 this evening! Even picked her up and CARRIED her out earlier between rain showers and she ran right back into the garage. She hasn't eaten either. THAT bothers me since animals can "sense" bad weather. Storms are entering adjoining county now so should arrive here right on schedule...3 AM ; it's bad enough when it storms during the daytime but the nighttime storms are WORST since we can't "see" what's happening. Tornado watch only extends to the county directly to our north...and northeastward so I'm hoping it won't be TO bad here...

No Ma'am...not from WL or WLV's either.

Thanks Denise...Nick has the broken finger...Allie had all her wisdom teeth removed the Friday before Christmas. She's coming along well with recovery and living on mashed potatoes, cranberry gel and pudding! Gradually adding "soft solids" to her diet but is having some pain in the evening.

Now you're making me want to go back SO BAD...I just LOVE shopping in the Emporium! Is this a sign behind a register...I remember signs with cute little sayings all over the shop.

Made it through the night without damage but boy DID IT RAIN HARD along with wind (limbs all over the back yard to clean up ) lighting and thunder that "could wake the dead"! Could have been a lot worse...and Boo been exploring the back yard this morning and ate every bit of dog food!

FUN evening...started with delay of SIL's arrival due to flooded roads, dinner at Taste of Texas with SIL's brother and his family who just arrived from Louisiana, Houston evening traffic, beautiful Theater District and AWESOME seats for the Houston Ballet performance of The Nutcracker...
