Where In The World 21. We are now completely legal!!!

No Ma'am, this is associated with the shop but it's not in the area with the lockers, etc. :scratchin; it's "inside/outside" :goodvibes...:tink:

Is it on the door or in a window?

I agree...Diane "wins" the "worst property taxes" award ...that's insane. I'm curious about taxes in Florida :-)...need to check into that if we ever decide to move! While our entire tax bill is due Dec. 31st it's no problem for me...I'm "2 months ahead" with my monthly deposits in the "taxes account" so I just write the check when I get the bill...usually around the end of September. I like to get it paid early...BEFORE the December expenses start.

Don't envy you having to shovel that WET snow o_O but wow...it looks rough on the East Coast! :scared: We're enjoying a beautiful day, for once! Will be a little cool tonight at soccer but no rain predicted until Monday so we should be good for the soccer game the Princess has tomorrow too! :yay: This will be the first weekend in a MONTH we haven't had rain! :tink:

Taxes up here stink, they are so high. Ours increased to 5500 not 7500, I would have to move if they got that high. I would love to move to Maine someday. Winter in Florida and summer in Maine.

And it's Peter Pan for the win!!!

Wow! I knew my property taxes were low but wow! I pay $1,066 a year. You pay $3,380 for your house. That's about what it is in Northern VA. Diane, are you saying your property taxes will be $7,500 this year!? :faint: You win the prize!!!

Now I'm curious, Jeff, if you see this, do you pay property taxes up there?

Oh I'm sure you can get all the alcohol you can afford in DS. $$$

It is still snowing here! I've got to get out there and shovel a lot of heavy wet snow......

I'm glad my taxes are due in April and Oct. Not right at Christmas!!

Um...not to complain:rolleyes1, but that is It's a Small World on the right, which was my guess. Just glad to know I am not crazy :P

Okay Diane...something new today on Flight of Passage posted on Facebook...

Here is the information that you will find on the card:

Avatar Flight of Passage Link Pass:

Please have this pass ready to present to your ACE guide.

CAUTION:

  • You will be restrained on a moving vehicle at a significant height above the ground.
  • Your flight is a highly immersive 3D experience with sudden drops and acrobatic aerial maneuvers.
  • Those who have a fear of heights or are prone to motion sickness should not fly.
WARNING!: For your safety, you should be in good health and free from high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems, motion sickness or other conditions that could be aggravated by this adventure. Expected mothers should not ride.

The seating and restraints may prohibit guests of certain body shapes or sizes from riding. A practice vehicle is available at the attraction entrance.

There are no restroom facilities beyond this point.

All members of your party must be together throughout the entire length of the queue. If you are uncertain whether this flight is right for you, then we strongly encourage you not to ride.

I'm having second thoughts about riding, what about you? I don NOT like being restrained and not crazy about "acrobatic" aerial maneuvers...and not exactly "free from high blood pressure"! :rotfl: Hard decision for me...DD and DGD's say it is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G but I certainly don't want to start throwing up on the ride! o_O...:tink:

Interesting. I may have to think about this ride. I get dizzy riding Soarin. When I start to get dizzy or start having an anxiety attack:rotfl:I look to the side at the wall. I love EE but DO NOT like the big climb at the beginning.

The restraints are not that bad. Your arms and legs are free, but there is a back pad that comes up and holds you in. The best way to explain it is that you sit like you are on a horse, but leaning forward, and then a pad comes up from behind and sits against your lower back.

Terri...that's about how DD described it. She can't wait to go on it again. I had to do a lot of "deep breathing" on Mission to Mars ...felt like I was in a little, tiny closet and that's where I run into "problems" :scared:but FoP seems more like an annoying tight seat belt. Diane...I've gotten dizzy on Soarin' and in the 360 movies and just close my eyes. Run into problems if my allergies are bothering me and my head feels "woozy...light headed". 99% of the time I'm fine on Soarin. Terri...the "3D loops" is what concerns me. I can can handle the ToT drops but not my favorite thing to do. What do the "loops" feel like? DD told me I'd be fine on it and highly recommends it. Describes it as an "amazing experience"...:tink:

My Peter Pan guess was just that...a guess. The bright pink color originally made me think Small World too; couldn't think of ANY Fantasyland attraction...or shop or food service with such a pretty bright color. :tink:

"Code V" on level 2. :lmao:

My brother says it is Soarin on steroids. And all the times I have gone up there I have yet to ride it. The past princess half marathon weekend was the first time I got over there to see Pandora at night.

I thought there were restraints on the legs too. I saw pictures that showed the legs being restrained behind the calf. Did they do away with those?

I am SO sorry!! You are both right! I was looking at my pictures and I had just left the Tangled restrooms and was heading into Fantasyland so I thought Peter Pan was on my right but I guess I turned around and took this picture!!! The win goes to Terri!!!! :yay:

I snowed all day today too! I shoveled and shoveled and shoveled but ended up cancelling my lessons for today. I cancelled yesterday too. I'm so glad I"m in a position where I can make my own decision about whether I want to drive or not and don't have an important job.

I heard they declared a state of emergency in VA! I guess the east coast is really getting hit!

Are you in a blizzard Diane? I like your idea of summers in Maine, winters in Florida! I'm glad your property taxes are "only" $5,000, not $7,000.

You don't actually experience any loops, just fast flying maneuvers like going straight down and fast turns. Have you been on Star Tours? FOP is like combining ST and Soarin. If you start to feel uncomfortable or dizzy, just close you eyes as 95% of the ride is visual.
