That is so sad/scary! They do have signs saying not to go into the 7 Seas Lagoon but this father was only wading and was with his son! So, so sad!!! And at the Grand Floridian!

This is so sad, and my thoughts and prayers go out to this family.
This is a very rare occurrence, most gator/people encounters are just bites. Gators tend to fear people. This is why it is so important for people not to feed them, so that they retain that fear.
Being from Fl, we grow up knowing the dangers of gators and water moccasins in shallow water, especially at night. Disney has "no Swimming" signs, but needs to add "DANGER/Gators" signs. Many visitors from out of state might take the no swimming signs to mean that the water is "unhealthy" and not "unsafe".

You have summed it up quite nicely Terri. We don't have a huge gator problem HERE...further south and along the river is another story...but we DO have a HUGE snake problem and you have to be aware of the danger. IMO the "no swimming" means stay OUT of the water but we know they are also land animals so the danger is always there...it's Florida! It was after 3 AM before I could "turn my brain off" on this and finally get some sleep and tears just flowed during the noon news conference. So tragic.... There was a 5 year old girl injured in a shark attack in Galveston yesterday too.

Deluxe, moderate or value? Feeling a little better still in a lot of pain. My knee and foot/ankle are feeling a little better but my calf muscle hurts so bad, I'm thinking I did some damage, may have to go to the Dr. Still can't really walk on it.

Sounds like you really DID do a "number on yourself"! Wish you had DH's little "toys" from his knee surgery...both of them would be of benefit. In fact, I used the muscle relaxer one on myself this morning for my neck. It's been almost 4 days, maybe it is time to get it checked out.
