I loved seeing the kids. They are all so cute!



But, I have flown back and forth across the country every weekend for the last 4 weekends. I have this weekend at home and then I fly back out to help my daughter for one more week.

That is PRECIOUS! Absolutely adorable! You should be VERY proud of those youngsters!

Our little "science nerd" got me curious so I did a little research on the camp thing she's been invited too. It's the GeoX Conference, sponsored by BP, Marathon Oil and the College of Geosciences at Texas A&M. It's not only open to Texas students but the entire US student population. During the week they'll search for fossils in a rural river, visit a Fortune 500 company (they'll visit BP Headquarters in Houston according to the schedule she received) launch a weather balloon, explore the geoscience of Mars, see the instruments used to explore the deep ocean (they'll travel from College Station to Galveston and spend 5 hours out in the Gulf of Mexico observing these instruments), use GPS to guide the way during a scavenger hunt, attend admissions and financial aid information sessions and discuss career options with industry leaders and College of Geosciences faculty. The last day of the conference they'll be awarded certificates, attend a sit down dinner and get to observe the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets in drills. She is SO blessed receiving this opportunity ; DD said she hasn't stopped grinning all day!
