It's taken agonizing WEEKS of trying...DGD's schedules are WAY to full year round...but DH and I were finally able to give them their birthday presents today. We'd discussed the gift with Redstorm previously but last she knew we couldn't find a week when they were both free so she was surprised...

...the Princess was CLUELESS and the happy tears started flowing....

Love to see kids getting excited. I have to admit, this is one thing I missed out on having annual passes for my son all his life. At this point, he just rolls his eyes and goes to appease me, lol. Hope you all have a great time.

FUN day so far ; rainy night and bright sunshine now...and happy DGD...

I don't know if this is "nature or man made" but I'll label this a "very unique" plant. Tell me which one/what it looks like.

I took so many pictures of the plants and flowers, they were all so neat, but none match this, so I will have to throw out some guesses. Is it near or in the water or on land? Is it close to the ground or up high?

I will admit the "reveal" was priceless ; I'd talked to Redstorm about a Thanksgiving break trip but DD nixed that idea "in case" the volleyball team happened to be playing in the State Volleyball Tournament the day I wanted to leave. I asked her a couple weeks ago when mandatory volleyball practice started. Working between both their summer schedules, we just couldn't come up with a free week and we promised Redstorm a fishing trip on the Texas coast instead as her "special" 16th birthday gift. She was expecting a fishing rod today so she WAS surprised. The Princess had decided last week to not attend the 3 week drama camp she normally goes to in July so the "wheels started turning". DD and I put our heads together and were able to come up with a week they'd be free and it was perfect; she and SIL are scheduled to leave for Las Vegas toward the end of our dates so the girls would still get a summer vacation trip with us and not be at home missing their Dad and Mom. We were expecting her to EXPLODE with excitement...that's her personality...and when the happy tears flowed OURS did too! Those 5 minutes were worth EVERY penny this trip is costing us! In a way, it is sad your son doesn't get this excitement but rest assured; he may roll his eyes but I feel there's always that little "spark" inside when a parent tells their child...WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD. Not at all planned but our trip coincides with Diane's ; hope we can find a day when we can all meet somewhere in "the World"!

Well...that's pretty much what the Weather Channel predicted...FOR ONCE! We've had showers off/on today but nothing like THAT; Austin/San Antonio got hit pretty hard though. Nice rain for us; sure helped DH's garden. Glad the power didn't stay off long!

Noticed today that the wind was so strong last night it blew down three sections of our 6" fence.

No idea on this one don't know much about Pandora. Is it a plant that is in the shape of an animal?

Noticed today that the wind was so strong last night it blew down three sections of our 6" fence.

OH MY GOODNESS! Hope it's fixable and not destroyed! I had a surprise today too when I walked into the playroom ; the "chimney" section to our wood heater collapsed sometime last night too! SOOT EVERYWHERE! And can't believe we didn't HEAR it!

You're on the right track! (We'll have to learn about Pandora together!) This is DD's photo and I've seen 2-3 photos of this on other threads. Very eye catching! It's not shaped like an animal but IS shaped like something we don't see everyday but there are these "things" at DW.

Since we've not had the chance to experience Pandora yet, I'm not sure where it's located but the entire plant is this color and it would certainly (by my definition of it) fit in with the plants that make music.

Got an update message from Ed earlier to let us know the MONKEY MASK in Italy has been moved to the main display case! Tried to hook up with Denise around 5:30 this afternoon but hadn't received a reply to his text. Diane...he's planning on meeting up with us...SO WE CAN RIDE THE BALLOON TOGETHER! Terri...which day works for you to make a visit to the World? We're there July 16-23 (leave on the 24th); Diane will be there a few days longer though.

Since we've not had the chance to experience Pandora yet, I'm not sure where it's located but the entire plant is this color and it would certainly (by my definition of it) fit in with the plants that make music.

I went back and looked at my pictures and I do not see anything like this in the Musical/Drums area I was thinking of, so I am out of guesses. Maybe a bigger crop will help.
