When is Irma suppose to get to Florida? Hope it loses some of it's force messing up the Caribbean

It is supposed to be here this weekend. It seems it is starting to make the turn. How sharp of a turn we will have to see. 8am update seems that @tltay2005 Terri and I are looking to be right in the middle of this thing.

I vote for Ed to GO TO DISNEY WORLD! I'm sure you could handle a 2 week stay! I'd call for a room just in case; still a few days before you have to decide...IF there's enough gas left in your SUV to get you there! We passed 3-4 stations here on the volleyball road trip that have bags over the pumps and their signs turned off. Terri...just TIE THAT TRAILER DOWN TIGHT! That would be great to have if you loose your power and the winds have died down. You need some pretty sturdy anchors though for the winds that storm is producing! Unbelievable that it could cover the entire state! We'll be watching closely with y'all and hoping for the best.

Now you know when Irma is done and Fort Wilderness is cleaned up, y'all know where my brother and I, Terri and her family will be at.

The 11:00 update looks better for me, not so much for you Ed. Has most models more East. I don't think they will really know until at least Friday. Landfall in South Fl Sunday morning is all they really can agree on right now.

Yes they will do that. The uncertainty at times will stress a lot of people out. You should see some the gas lines around here for the last 2 days. Grocery store have nothing and will look like a war zone at times.

That does sound scary! They still have gas? Karolyn, that must be eerie to see covered up gas pumps. They have gas here but it was $2.99/gallon yesterday. Did they just say on the news that the governor wants you to leave Florida if you can!? Good time to go take a vacation? Drive that RV northwest!

They have closed the Canadian part of Glacier National Park. The fire was up to 20,000 acres last time I heard.
