Edinburgh to Manchester...and home tomorrow! (Check out the striped cow in a pasture that Sara took from the train! Cool!) Pizza for birthday dinner and enjoying the sweatshirts and jackets before coming back to 95+ with heat index (today) was 108 !

I think y'all are right! I'll have to tell Amanda; she's the one that spotted it! Didn't think anything about it after she said something since there ARE striped cows...



...Dutch Belted Cows...Lakenvelder cows...they saw some in Ireland. Have so many things to ask Sara about! So many interesting adventures...including the airport this evening! Took them 55 minutes to get threw customs; found the car in the parking garage but couldn't figure out how to get out of the garage (Bush Intercontinental has been undergoing construction for MONTHS and the exit was different from the last time they parked there ) and then they got in line to pay only to be told they were in the "short term (meaning a week or less) parking", they needed to get in the LONG TERM parking line since they'd parked 15+ days...what the hell is the difference??? They landed at 2:30 but by this time there was already "5 o'clock traffic" to deal with! Just as I suspected they'd do, they stopped to eat Mexican food and have some SWEET TEA WITH ICE (a "Southern Thing" that they missed a LOT)! Won a bet with David...told him that would be their first stop. Finally made it home at 7.

Haven't seen them yet...they're catching up on their sleep! But, yes, good to have them back home...at least for a few weeks. Less than a month before Allie moves to Florida and Katie to Beaumont. Life is sure going to be boring without them around.
