100% better, thank you! Still having trouble getting motivated but that's been my "norm" since May. Had planned on starting our beach packing today and haven't even made the list yet! Now I'm concentrating on the College World Series best of 3 final, Game 1. Texas A&M up 9-2 over #1 Tennessee! DID get the deck chairs out of the storage shed and washed them off but that's the extent of accomplishments today. Hopefully I can sleep better tonight; had major back issues last night since I've spent so much time in bed over the last 3 days!

Actually got a few things packed for vacation...AND...got in pool for the first time this summer! Pool water is already 90 degrees though and David has so much chlorine in it we smelled awful when we got out but it was good to do my first "laps" again.

I'm so used to "easing in" when we open the pool it was really strange! Yep...more than a little warm already; we like it around 85 which is still warm but much cooler than air temperature. Probably won't see that until at least September! We're leaving tomorrow around 1 PM. Wanted to avoid the traffic for the ferry across to Aransas Pass but will have to do a grocery stop first so we'll delay our arrival at the ferry until around 6...then it's "clear sailing" to the beach condo. Katie's first performance isn't until 9:35 PM Wednesday evening so we'll have all of Wednesday to sleep in, do some beach time and fix a nice lunch before we have to start for Corpus. We're 40 minutes away from the convention venue, which is a little far, but opted for "beach access" over the "hotel beach views". Pretty sure we'll have a few tropical showers to deal with but at least the 2nd Gulf disturbance isn't developing into a full fledge storm and is moving into Mexico. My list today includes "WITW crops" on my phone so hopefully we'll have decent WiFi and I can continue to post.

Not even a second thought on the beach access ; and we're actually closer than Sara's rental. They're in the Cinnamon Shores subdivision which is beautiful (we stayed there when the girls were smaller) but the walk to the beach was a LONG one! Especially back then when we had to carry ALL the "toys" the girls wanted to play with. Good memories though. David said rain chances have gone up but we'll have 5 days and hopefully a couple of those will be nice!

Listening to waves before bedtime. Would love to walk on beach but earlier David had to go back to car and, along with other guests, saw a 4' rattlesnake crawl into the rock garden!!!! Nope...not going anywhere once we're in for the night!!!
