It's happening! First senior activity...painting their parking spaces in the high school parking lot! "FRIENDS"....and BEST PARKING SPOT EVER for a Brahmadora! Right at the front door to the Dora Building!

Isn't it perfect! Right by the sidewalk so rainy days (if we ever get any ) will mean no wet feet! I love this tradition; started it a few years ago and the seniors have come up with some awesome parking spot paintings! I like both of these...especially Audrey's "Last Dance"...

"Andie's" is the Drum Major...daughter of one of Sara's high school friends...

Isn't it the BEST idea! Let's them show their individualism and brightens the place up! Some schools make them use chalk but our kids get to use the "real stuff" and it lasts the entire year. I think you should put your idea in the suggestion box Jeff! Sure would make going to work a little more fun!

We're under a huge "heat dome" again...96 degrees at 9 PM ; at one point today, as I was walking back into the house from moving the water sprinkler, I thought..IT'S HOT! Checked the temperature when I got inside and the heat index was 110 degrees!

This is not ON a sign or billboard; it IS on Sunset Blvd. but not the Sunset Ranch Market. Really close to it though.

It REALLY does! Shopping today and inside car is at least 130 degrees! People have actually done experiments baking bread or cookies in their mailboxes!

Hopefully you get some relief from the heat soon. That’s just crazy hot . I won’t tell you our weather for the next 10 days is in the 70s with lows in the 60s and 50s. It’s 57 right now with a low of 48 by morning. A little cool for summer it’s been feeling a lot like fall these past few days.

David checked the long range forecast and the first possibility of rain is AUGUST 20TH; temperatures remain close to 100 ALL of August! We will be more than ready for the end of August when we leave for Washington! I feel so bad for Allie; they'll start soccer workouts in about 10 days! She hasn't had much of a chance to get "in shape"; it's just dangerously hot during ALL the time...even early mornings and late evenings have been in the low 90's!
