It's almost 100 degrees out and our power is out! Meanwhile...Vegas surprise was a true surprise! She had NO IDEA what was going on when she saw her Dad walk into the airport with 3 more members of the Red Storm soccer team! Going to be a fun 21st birthday weekend!

YES...21st birthday in Vegas! What a cool surprise for her; 2 other girls couldn't make ; both recent graduates and have new jobs. To make it more fun for them I've been sending them pictures of the soccer trip to Disney World during the day. Nine years ago this week!

They're such BABIES! The flight was at 5:50 this morning so they had a good nap this afternoon but I think they had tickets to a show tonight and then were going to some kind of speciality bar at midnight. Allie said you fill out a questionnaire with likes and dislikes, favorite colors and flavors, etc. and they create a drink for you! Anxious to hear what they come up with for her especially since she's a "non-drinker"! She can "take it or leave it" and it's mostly "leave it"!

Our power was only off about 45 minutes...thank goodness! A line went down somewhere and over a third of the city was out around noon! I'd just gotten home from picking up a sandwich up at a local drive-in when it "popped off"!

It IS...part of their "home" in the queue area just before you enter the AIR CONDITIONED building! Even though the line to get inside was only a 10-15 minute wait I was SO GLAD to get to this point!

I would say they had a pretty good "birthday day celebration"! Started with brunch at the Peppermill (I LOVE that place...such good food and the atmosphere is so much fun! They're pancakes are literally the size of the dinner plate!); visited some of the resorts; had drinks at the Venetian's Minus 4 Ice Bar...the look on the faces of Nancy and Audrey (on the ends) in the video of this "drink" is priceless .. .. they do a "3-2-1" countdown and must all drink at the same time!



...and finished the day at the Golden Steer...
