One of the shops on Discovery Island?
Another funeral today and, frankly, I sure hope we're done for awhile. Three classmates/friends since April 1st have passed away...2 of them totally unexpected, 1 has been ill for some time. Tell your family and friends how much you love them; there is NO "promised" tomorrow....and BTW...I LOVE YOU GUYS!

Day finally done! Dress rehearsal, Brahmadora Spring Show AND Banquet held on the same day this year which meant Katie spent 11 hours at the high school and we spent 6 but lots of laughs AND "epic fail" with dance pictures.
I absolutely hate our high school auditoriums lighting; took 600 pictures, totally deleted 160 and only about half of what's left are "usable". At least the programs turned out well and Katie B earned Cover Girl again with her ad sales. She was in 17 dances with 17 costume changes and is one tired young lady this evening. The "Squad Leader Roast" was fun...and funny
; she and her fellow junior officer choreographed the "goodbye Seniors" dance and she did the "goodbye speech to them. My favorite part was the "Chief of Police" announcing to the Director and Captain that there had been a "prisoner escape" as the introduction to the "MamaDora" dance (Sara was WAY out of her comfort zone for that one
) and her solo performance got the "loudest" cheers when it was introduced
. Emotional evening too celebrating the 20 years of the Brahmadora's. The first tribute was to a young man who passed away a few years ago. He had cerebral palsy and lived for Friday nights when he could come watch the Brahmadora's perform their half-time performance. The girls presented his mother with a picture from one of those games after they finished the dedicated dance to Rusty. Later they performed the tribute dance from years ago that the Director had dedicated to her mother who passed away that year. The moment that really got to me was the couples dance. Katie's dance instructor/owner of Center Stage was a member of the first Brahmadora Line. In January of that year, her senior year, she was thrown from a horse and broke her back. She wasn't able to dance in that Spring Show but her high school sweetheart, now husband, carried her on stage for the couples dance and held her up so they could do the waltz. They recreated that moment this evening and this time Amber danced...and I DID get "the kiss" at the end of the dance! Her "fan club" was there with flowers and good evening despite the lack of pictures...
