The World Series how exciting

Allie is "bouncing" with excitement ; she was so disappointed last year when Treavor & Katie went! It was on a Thursday night so she couldn't come home since they were still playing soccer. She had a math test this morning and left around noon; made it home just in time to vote and hit the road for the football game! Tomorrow is the anniversary of her surgery so she'll have a much better day than Nov. 5th, 2021!

One computer with football games live broadcast; another computer with volleyball playoff games live broadcast and the Weather Channel on the TV! Final regular game of the season, won 56-0 making this the first time in school history they've won 20 straight district games! Volleyball won Area round in 4 matches...all but 1 was CLOSE! Tornados in northeast Texas and the weather system will be in our area around 11 with possible tornados, large hail and/or damaging wind. Doesn't look like our area will get the same weather northeast Texas had but it's still 80 degrees at 9 PM and SO humid so we'll keep watch. Football game was moved to a 6 PM start because of the possible bad weather later so we decided not to go. Much more fun enjoying it via computer than sitting out in the showers and having to drive an hour and a half home in the rain! At least we got to watch the Brahmadoras!

Today was PERFECT! Cool front cooled things down about 10; nice slow rain from 10:30-11; heavy rain about 30 minutes and then light rain until midnight. Clear and beautiful today! SO MUCH BETTER than the last 2 days! Cold and rainy for you starting tomorrow? It's that "time of the year"!

They're sitting really close to where that 3 run HR went into the stands! I can only imagine how excited they were to see that ball sail toward them! This is Allie's favorite player....the jersey she's wearing was autographed by him...

...Not only are the Astros WORLD SERIES CHAMPS but local icon, "Mattress Mack" was a HUGE winner tonight! The largest legal payout in sports betting history! This man owns a well known Houston furniture store; he "gives back" (his motto is "Mack gives back") to the Houston community more than any local celebrity I've ever heard off. He will "give back" the entire $75 million to his customers and the local community. He's amazing ... and so was the Astros win! What a priceless memory for Allie...David & Sara!

Allie treated us to brunch today at 31 South Holland..our one and only "high end" local restaurant! REALLY good food and got to share her excitement of her upcoming spring semester in Liverpool! So excited for her!

Allie’s going to Liverpool? For the whole semester? Exciting

YES...she got the formal acceptance early last week; she'll be attending the Liverpool Hope University from January through the beginning of April for her spring semester credits. The courses sound really interesting and they involve travel to various surrounding countries plus a lot of free time. We're trying to decide if we're going to visit; Amanda is 100% YES...Sara & Treavor are about 75% (that's right in the middle of Katie's dance competition season) and David and I have no clue! Our ONLY hang up is "can we sit on an airplane that long???". At Cheryl's funeral I visited with Paul (he's one of Justin's friends from Thailand who now lives in the US and does a lot of business travel) about his favorite airlines for overseas travel. He highly recommended Singapore Airlines. Sara checked it out and we're all impressed. She booked Allie's flight already in the group directly under 1st class. Still rather expensive but the leg and seat room is certainly a "step above" what we're used too. We watched a video and both said "we could do that"! We'll have to decide soon!
