Our soccer player/MATH WIZ has done it again! She told us last week when she was here for dinner she hadn't received word on any more awards for this year after the Who's Who notification. So she was surprised this morning! Wednesday's are mandatory "Chapel Days" at HPU and today, after the short message, they passed out awards for students for the 2021/2022 school year. Like last year she was called forward for the presentation of the Outstanding Student in Mathematics/School of Science and Mathematics! Yeah Allie!

Thanks....I'm glad it was a surprise to her this year! She said the other night she thought this years award may go to a senior from one of her classes. She's technically classified as a "junior" now since so many of the college classes she took during her senior year in high school transferred so she "moved up a category". She had a busy, but good day. She attended the luncheon for the 10 finalist for the prestigious Sumner Scholar Scholarship and then had a good interview with the committee. They award 4 scholarships and they've always gone mostly to seniors but at least she's gone through the process so she knows what to expect over the next couple of years. AND...she gets to come home again this weekend for doctors appointment. She's hoping she gets fitted with a brace this time so she can start a little more "on the field" activity. She's tired of sitting on the sidelines and working out in the gym!
