Just from winds today; nephew lost roof off barn on the land he bought from me at Mom's farm.


Tornado hit Round Rock and Elgin just a few minutes ago; have friends in Round Rock. We're under a Tornado Watch; looks like our area will get hit around 11 PM.

All is good after a rough night! Didn't get much sleep; got really bad at 5:30 AM with a tornado about 9 miles from us and SO MUCH lightening, thunder and wind! A wonderful 2 1/2 inches of rain and fallen limbs in the back yard but a beautiful day follows the storm!

I don't have a map handy to check location but will try to find one; it's not in Marketplace or West Side. This is a well established restaurant.

Saw the coolest video a Texas Storm Chaser has of a tornado hitting a truck driving down the highway outside of Elgin (close to Austin). The winds knock the truck over, it spins a couple of times and then the wind "picks it back up". The driver stops for a few seconds and then just DRIVES OFF! He said he didn't believe what he saw until he later looked at the video and went...OMG! I'm going to see if I can find it on YouTube....
