Deluxe moderate or value?

Contemporary? Is it by Mary Blair? On the mural in the concourse?

Back a few hours ago from our 10 hour "National's Adventure"! Rained ALL the way to the Margaritaville Resort on Lake Conroe but lucky enough it was between showers when we arrived. Sat 3 hours watching some really good dances; some VERY strange. Center Stage did really well; 3 of it's 6 groups were in the Top 10. Katie's groups did okay...2 Double Platinums and 1 Titanium; they were all just "off a little" on the lyrical (blue costumes); 1 girls had some balance issues (I will say in her defense allergies are REALLY bad since it's been raining the entire week) throughout the Hip Hop and the Modern dance was awesome (the Titanium). They earned 4th place overall with that performance; a little "rifted" about the 1st & 2nd place in that group....that studio tends to enter themselves in "lower groups". Groups are classified by age and Center Stage enters itself in the group of the oldest girl; this studio enters the group of the age of the youngest dancer. SO....out of the 7 girls in the groups there was only one age 14/15...the rest were 15 or older....at least 1 extra year of dance training, most of them 2. It's "well known" in the "local dance world" this studio does this. It is what it is and they were happy to place 4th but disappointed with the other 2 numbers. Still had a fun day....despite having to walk back across the resort IN A DOWNPOUR (the picture overlooking the lake from the restaurant) after lunch!

Last "group gathering" with one of their teachers; the blonde in the white top. She tried out for the Texas A&M Dance Team; 23 out of the 316 that tried out made the team and SHE was one of them! SO sad to see her go....she was SO good with the group...but what an experience she has in store!

And, on the way home, got a chance to take some pictures of some cool CARVED statues sitting in the

pasture along the road....apparently owned by a very wealthy person! The ranch owner had 2 carved dinosaurs, a lion, giraffe, bear, eagles and a huge deer! The giraffe was SO life like!

Great shots of the toss and the jumps. Sucks the other studio danced at a lower age group.
The carved animals look real. Must be very wealthy.

Just watched online Treavor being interviewed at the fishing tournament by a TV station. He caught the only tarpon today so he got to talk to the reporter as he did his report on the return of the Deep Sea Roundup after last years Covid cancellation! Good interview....talked about how he and Allie do this every year so they can spend time together and enjoy fishing. Didn't mention the 8 to 10' swells they had to deal with!

Allie's "catch of the day"...

....had to throw this one back but she did catch a few red snapper. Seas were still really rough today so they didn't have much luck but David says

"even a bad day fishing is a GOOD day!". Like WE say about DW!
