We have kitchen LIGHTS , cabinet pulls AND backsplash! Don't know why it shows up with a yellow tint on the picture ...well, I do...one of my camera settings needs to be changed but was to lazy to figure out which one! Plus...a CUTE little visitor on the back patio! Of course, David is gone visiting his sister in Katy and I'm not brave enough to try and catch it to relocate it to the "back pasture" so Boo and I are staying out of the backyard for now.

Looking good. So much storage. I love it.

The kitchen is beautiful! So glad it's almost done.

Odd for a opossum to be out during the day.

I get up at 4 am and am in the yard by 5 to water and do what I can before I have to shut the house down about 7 am. It doesn't cool off here until like 1 am.

I'm on death watch with Tootsie. I go out every hour or so and try to give her a sponge bath and some cantaloupe. Her mind is still sharp. She hates getting wet! But she can barely stand up. As long as she is laying in the shade, that's all I can ask. It's 95 now at noon. 4-5 is the hottest part of the day. I was lucky it cooled off to 65 last night and I was able to open the windows from 1- 7 am!! but it won't get below 70 now for a while....... this is day 1 of 9 days.....

Looking good. So much storage. I love it.

We are having some STORMS today! ⛈🌩🌧 Had to shut computer down earlier because of the lightening! But, gives me time to work on getting stuff back in the cabinets. David's been working so hard and long hours but it's coming along nicely. HOPING we can get everything back to normal by August. It will probably take me longer than that to get cabinets "reloaded". I'll need to take a break when the essentials are back where they're handy and work on a quilt. The graduated senior leaves for college in August and I promised her I'd have her quilt ready before she left. Good amount of storage but in different areas so have to do some "rearranging"...and then I'll STILL be looking for things when I don't remember where I put them!

Our little opossum is no where to be found now; pretty sure he was lost and looking for "Mama". I've seen a few in the backyard during the day but it is odd. I just hate it when they're out at night and Boo spots one! I don't like her running around in the dark yard since snakes are so hard to see at night! But Mandy said opossum will battle copperheads so I think I'll keep him around for "protection"!

65 last night sounds marvelous! We haven't seen that temperature since late May! I forget you're a "morning person" like David ; good time to water everything for the day. Good luck with Tootsie; she may hate getting wet but it's the best thing for her!

WOW...48 to 90...what a difference! I'd planned on getting in the pool too but the storms nixed that idea! It's beautiful out now....cool and clear but to close to dinner time to venture out. I'll try tomorrow. 4 days of warmer weather should get that water temperature up a little!
