Finally got scores on Katie's solo last Sunday and she earned the 2nd highest rating...High Gold. Not a very good picture off the computer but doesn't this position just make your knees hurt LOOKING AT IT! šŸ˜‚

No, but you are close.

This is one of the paintings from the Festival of the Arts scavenger hunt. It was in a shop in Germany.

Just name the shop for the win.

Thought about you earlier when I read an article reprinted in the Houston Chronicle from the Los Angeles Times entitled, "Why second dose's side effects are worse". I was wondering if you had any issues with your 2nd dose. The article states "side effects are GOOD" :faint:. "The first dose simply primes the immune system so that it's ready to launch a more robust response when it's time to roll up a sleeve once again. "It's just an amplification, basically, of the same process that happens the first time around and that's a good thing. And, if you don't experience side effects, that's totally fine." Made ME feel a little better with our side effects experiences :goodvibes; apparently our immune system was working in "overdrive" from the way we felt!

What about Stein Haus? :tink:

Yes, this was in the Steinhaus, :dogdance: right before you walked into the wine shop.

I had my second shot last Thursday. No reaction at all. Sailed right through it. So glad I got it!

But, I just spoke to a friend this afternoon who also had both shots and still got Covid! She looks super healthy but has heart and lung problems so the virus has complicated everything. She had been sick a lot since Jan. but just got Covid like 2 weeks ago. She was still playing clarinet in church 3 weeks ago. Several people at the church got it. Guess I'll keep wearing a mask.... :(

You and Diane's Dad (I think he's the only person I "know" who has gotten the J&J shot) are the only person(s) I've heard of who have had absolutely NO side effect. :confused3 Literally everyone my family knows has had some type of reaction...some very mild all the way up to hospitalization. :confused3 David's sister and brother-in-law from Colorado are visiting and they said the same thing; everyone in their retirement community had some form of a reaction. Only 1 person we know of has gotten Covid and she's pretty sure she was sick when she got the shot; she almost canceled her appointment that morning because she felt so bad. We're continuing to wear our masks and will for the time being. We've already been the only ones with masks "in the room" but frankly I don't trust the vaccine YET. When we see numbers continue to drop we'll rethink our decision. After being careful for an entire year not giving up just because we've gotten shots. :tink:

Same here, they're the only people I know who had no side effects. Most people I know got really sick. Karolyn you had the worst side effects. Marvin Hagler recently died, he lived in NH and there were reports that said that he died a few days after receiving his second vaccine shot. :scared:

I read an article today in the Houston Chronicle about deaths after the shot. Not many but there have been some. At least the other article I read made me feel better. :goodvibes Bottom line in it was...the better off you are as far as immunity when you have side effects. I think David I are "covered"! šŸ˜† Is your Dad still doing okay after his? :tink:

Did you see my Robinhood guess? If not that Lion King?

:rolleyes2 I'm so sorry...I did NOT see your Robin Hood guess...and THAT'S the one I was looking for! I've missed a few posts this week; been REALLY busy between soccer stuff and remodeling....and baking for the fundraiser for the private school Sara works for. Had to finish the pictures for all the soccer girls and get them printed and Sara & I got the playoff travel bags finished today since we'll be gone to Allie's game tomorrow. I'll TRY to be more careful in catching all the posts!
