Poor Neiko was pacing and panting and we could tell he was in pain. Somehow he hurt his back, but the ER vet gave him a shot and some pain and anti inflammatory meds so I think in a few days he will be ok. He is an old man, 10, so it takes a little longer to heal.

Here is our site. We did not do as much this year, after the long night we had, I just didn't have the energy.

Poor Neiko ; I know all about the "old" feeling in doggies. At one point we had 5 dogs over age 10 and bless their hearts, some days were pretty rough. Campsite looks nice and peaceful and "flip flops and shorts" must mean a pretty mild day like here in Texas. Rain showers started this afternoon though and we'll hopefully get some relief from the springlike temperatures later in the week. Enjoy your stay!

No white Christmas for us. The snow didn't last very long yesterday and didn't amount to anything. Nick's finger is really hurting. He was up most of the night. It is so swollen and the top is all discolored. He is going to call the Dr in the morning.

No white Christmas for us. The snow didn't last very long yesterday and didn't amount to anything. Nick's finger is really hurting. He was up most of the night. It is so swollen and the top is all discolored. He is going to call the Dr in the morning.

Oh my...poor guy...bet Christmas was miserable for him! Allie made it through but that spot is still bothering her...calling the doctor tomorrow to see if he wants to look at it. They'd have to drive to College Station instead of Brenham where they had it done but if there's a problem it needs to be looked at. I'll bet your weather was more "Christmas like" than ours was though ...we had to turn the AC on while we opened gifts! With all the lights from the tree and my Snow Village it got HOT in there. Humidity was high all day with a few rain showers; tomorrow night we're in the "severe weather possible" area on the Weather Channel map ...possible hail, high winds and/or tornado. Cooler air moving in and mixing with all the Gulf humidity equals "bad weather".

Oh my...poor guy...bet Christmas was miserable for him! Allie made it through but that spot is still bothering her...calling the doctor tomorrow to see if he wants to look at it. They'd have to drive to College Station instead of Brenham where they had it done but if there's a problem it needs to be looked at. Nick went to the Dr this morning and is waiting on x-ray results. They put a splint on it for now.
