This is where i ate..

1900 Park Fair dinner, character
CRT bf
Narcoosees
Brown Derby
Chef Mickey BF
Nine Dragons
Ohana
California Grill
Citricos
Boma
Jiko

My all around favorite is CITRCO's!! Narcoossees, Bd, and CG were great too....

Was looking forward to the most- Boma, Ohana...

Biggest dissapointment- Boma , Ohana

We were 6 people- 5 adults, 1 child... our opinions were all the same...
Any questions feel free to ask

Oh no! We are eating at Boma tonight! Why were you disappointed? We have eaten there once before (been at least 2 years since though...) and enjoyed it then. Was it the service or the quality of the food or was it just that the flavors weren't your cup of tea?

We are meeting my husband's cousins there as well as my MIL and FIL (it will be a first time at Boma for all of them). I hope we aren't disappointed.

Hi tigh,

I am very adventurous when it comes to food, and living in NYC area its very easy to find flavors from all over...we are probably in the minority here, but the flavors just werent our "cup of tea", mainly coz everything was sooooooooo sweet...main reason i went was coz of all the great reviews ive read here and other boards, so we are definitely the minority...but on the other hand the service was GREAT!! Also i want to say that JIKO was really good, one of my faves, and very different from BOMA...hope you enjoy it!

Did you enjoy the 1900 Park Fare character dinner? How was the buffet? Who were the characters and was there good interaction? I will be dining here for the first time in December.

Thanks!

Just wondering why you did not like ohannas..thanks..amy

Hi Kim,
Dinner at 1900 PF was good! I dont usually like buffets but it was not bad at all, and the prime rib was very good. There was only one thing i didnt care for, some sort of fish gumbo or something.

Character interaction was great, they all came around and were great and took their time with us....

Hi Amy,

Well I suppose since I heard soooo many good things about it I was expecting it to be great, which we didnt think so. The meat was dry, and the starters were all sweet, service wasn't that great either...The place was packed so I'm sure I'm in the minority

i have to agree about ohana's. after reading many wonderful reports we were looking forward to this meal. not overwhelmingly disappointed, just disappointed. did enjoy the fireworks over the castle though.

Well, we are back from Boma! :)

Had a nice time, but I think twice in one lifetime is enough (for me!) I can see why you felt the way you did. I picked at a little of everything, but didn't think there was anything super outstanding. I did enjoy the heck out of some of those mousse desserts though! ;) Our server was great and all the chefs/people on the other side of the buffet were very friendly and ready to explain what everything was. I think my favorite was the foo foo (I think that's what it was).

I almost forgot about those mousse desserts, see there WAS something i liked there!!! :D

enjoy your stay...

Sounds like you ate well!!
What did you like about Citricos??
And I notice you didn't mention JIko one way or the other. How was that meal?

I sure did!! :teeth:
What I liked about Citricos was everything!
The food was excellent!! I had this lovely appetizer, some sorta crab gateau, yummmm....my dad had a veal shank which he said was one of the best, if not the best, he ever had!! I loved the atmosphere, and the service was good too...we all agreed this was our favorite retaurant....

Jiko was very good too...I went in there thinking I was not going to like it coz i didnt like Boma, but you cant even compare the 2...Jiko is up there, for me, with Citricos, Narcoosees, & CG....oh yes and lets not forget BD :)
