I really love your tie dye shirts and I kinda like the white in guys' shirts. Blue and green are my favorite color combinations. :)

Hooray for your tickets!

I've gotten my glasses and contacts at Wally World, too, and they were also outrageoulsy expensive but I really hate walking into glass doors and walls so I guess I've got to have them. ;)

:cool1:  :dance3: party: YAY You got your tickets!!!!! I bet you are getting wicked excited!!!!

It feels so much closer now!

No kidding! I have that same problem. Driving would be totally out...

I just saw on the official disney site that Big Thunder is closed from Oct 1-24. Big-time major bummer:sad: My mom will probably cancel now as that is her most favorite ride. I'm off to make the dreaded call to her....

Hello, I'm a regular "mayer". However, we've gone for my 30th in Oct one year (end of the month) and it was quite cool for me. Esp. at night when I like to swim. Since we live in Buffalo and its cold 8 months out of the year I like it hot when we go! But we just got back from our annual May trip and I just found out that my husband booked a weekend getaway without the kids for our 10 yr annivsary at OKW for Oct 12-14th. I can't tell you how excited I am.
I just lost 30 lbs (if you really want it, yes its easy), now I'm working on the last 20lbs before our Disney anniversary trip. Once I accomplish that, I'll be back to my highschool size! :cheer2:

NO! NO! NO! My son will be devastated! This was his absolute favorite ride! Oh well, maybe this will be a good reason to visit again.

I just found out today that Delta changed my flights so I've been dealing with that today. But, it worked to our advantage. Now we get there earlier and leave later.

I was sooooo upset when I read the same thing!!!!!! :sad2: It is always a must do this will be the first time I don't go on it since I was tall enough to ride!

:welcome: We still might need intervention!:lmao: All this planning is a great way to keep the magic alive until the trip.

Have you seen the HP movie? I've really got to get through book 6 this week. I've read it before but that was when it first came out. I'm hoping for a happy ending:wizard:

Haven't seen the movie yet. We meant to go to the drive-in last Saturday to see it but ended up spending the day at the zoo instead. We've rescheduled for this Friday night so HOPEFULLY we'll actually do what we set out to do this time around. :lmao:

I'm 400+ pages through my reread of book 6, trying desperately to finish it before I pick up #7 this weekend. DS's 4th birthday is Saturday, and he's convinced that all the #7 hype is really just a countdown to his big day. :teeth:

Our family collectively threw up when we read this on the DIS the other day. :sad2: We've been talking BTMRR up for months now to DS, and it's DH's favorite ride. It was to be our first stop upon entering the MK> We probably would have rescheduled until Christmas time if we didn't already have the non-refundable airfare. Oh well...that just means that we'll definitely be back soon. :)

Don't you just love getting those tickets in your hands? It seems official and all that good stuff.

Congrats on the 10 years! What a great surprise your hubby gave you. :thumbsup2

I am so sad for your son. Usually when we go it's something minor closed but not this:eek: I'm glad your flights worked out better. More time at WDW...sounds good.

And on your honeymoon, too. There are so many other things to do but it just doesn't seem right without the railroad, does it.

How cute that he thinks the hype is all for him! How could it not be? I was trying to reread book 6 but I'm out of time, I had to go on the net and get a summary so I at least remember some of the stuff.

Yeah, we know we are on the way now:woohoo:

The outfits are done for the next pre-trip installment, but I still need to get the kids in them so I can take some pictures...hopefully I'll be able to post them tomorrow.

:tiptoe: I saw this little walking smilie and I remembered to tell ya'll that we (read hubby) decided that the family should go on evening walks starting at the 100 day mark (which was a couple of weeks ago?). We've been doing that every day and increasing our distance a little more each time. I'm not sure it will really prepare us for all the walking at WDW but it can't hurt. Flower, who is deathly terrified of bugs, esp. ants, has a tough time at some areas. I try and tell her that God gave her dominion over the animals. No dice. I try and tell her how much bigger she is. She's not having it. I try and show her how much faster she is. She still screams about being scared. :sad2: The walks aren't what you call peaceful but the other kids have really been loving the time together.

Awwwwww that is terrible! Haunted Mansion was closed when we went. You could look at it this way...its one less line to stand it??? How did your mom take it????

We walked too! Thats funny~but it really does help! My kids had no trouble and I didnt either. I even pushed the stroller the whole trip. Sorry about the bug-a-phobe....perhaps if she sees Ant Bully or Bugs Life or Charlottes Web she will get over it???
Well, your trip is getting closer!!! :thumbsup2

PS - I posted some pics of the outfit today on my thread and also on the sewing thread.

She was very disappointed but she still wants to go.:)

I glad to hear that it is helpful. It's funny, I she always loved Bugs Life but can't stand bugs. I can barely get her outside in the summer, unless we head for the pool.

I loved your stuff on the sewing thread. Good job:thumbsup2

MK Day---We will be going to Cindy’s for dinner so I want to be cute but comfy, too. I’m making the girls t-shirt dresses out of tinkerbell fabric. I’m just going to wear matching turquoise polo and khaki shorts. The boys will wear lime green polos and khakis. I’ve got the girls stuff done…

Ranger knows just how to twirl. She posed with no instruction from me.

Flower complained a little, but I got a couple of shots from her…

Whew! Just a couple more sewing projects and I'm done!

I know!!!! It is too disappointing but there are plenty of other things to do and it opens up more things from MNSSHP to get done.

The girsl outfits for CRT are too cute!!! You are doing a great job with all the sewing projects.

Can you beleive how fast the trips are coming???

I know! I still have 2 more tops to make plus the countdown calendar. The calendar is exciting to make, though:cool1: The kiddos go BTS in about 11 days so I will be in a whirlwind of activity when that happens.

AK Day--There are some super cute ideas out there for AK day, but I had already found these tank tops for the girls at Pennys. Otherwise, we are just wearing brown/khaki…DS still needs a shirt.

The girls outfits

Mine and DHs. Just brown not too exciting. I'm not sure about mine, either:confused3

I don't know...I'm just not sure about baring the upper arms. I'm sure I'll be hot, even in Oct, so it would be the coolest option.

Arrrggh the budget:headache: I've been thinking about how much we will need for this vacation. Here's what I've got so far

2 bedroom suite at OKW-5 nights $1560 paid :cool2:
6 day MYW base tickets (3 adults/2kids) $966 + tax ($62.80)/ship ($3) paid:cool2:
MNSSHP tickets (3 adults/2kids) $182.75 + tax ($11.92) paid :cool2:
Food $900 (not including the $240 already paid for CRT) saved :cool2:
Stroller rental $100
Spending $500 saved :cool2:
Boutique $100
Misc $200

I didn't figure in gas or tolls cuz I just am not sure how to calculate that:confused: Maybe $100ish?

I think I am going to try and keep track of how much we spend this time to see how close I get to the budget. Who knows? We may one day look back and think "How did we ever go to Disney for so little money?"

I'm letting the kids have $75 each. Last time I had their spending money separated and had to make change every time they wanted something. It really slowed us down to keep track of all that loose change. Does anyone have ideas on how they keep track of their kids spending money? I didn't want to get the disney dollars as I would still be making change. I'm thinking along the lines of gift card or something. Can you get a gift card at WDW to make purchases at WDW?

Cute outfits! I hate thinking about the money part of it. I leave that to Chuck (Constable Mickey)!!:rotfl2:

Such cute outfits! :goodvibes And a very reasonable budget...it would be interesting to see if you get close to your goal. As far the kids go, why not try the gift card thing...don't they just run the card and give you the total balance?? And when they go thru the amount ($75 ?) they are done! Sounds great! :thumbsup2
