Where have the cheap flights out of Buffalo gone?

I agree with the Tuesday thing. Just for the heck of it I went to look at our flight prices last Tuesday after booking them a week ago. Now we paid 115 each way (my mom and I) and I noticed they went down to $109.

I called Southwest and we got a $24 credit...I know not a lot but we are planning on flying to DL in the fall and every little bit helps towards those flights lol

Today when I went on to look again, I noticed our flights were up again to $120 each way...I honestly think there is no rhyme or reason to what they do other than number of seats left at any given time!
:rotfl2:

We are going July 30 to Aug 6 - Wed to Wed - got flight down on SWA for 109 and coming back to Buffalo on Jet Blue for 109 - so $218 roundtrip, which these days is great! Both nonstop flights too

We use to fly for $29 PP direct flights to MCO from Buffalo on SW. It was awesome. Unfortunately the secret of fly out of Buffalo is out and many from southern Ontario do it so they can charge more. We never fly out of Buffalo anymore the flight prices are generally the same as Pearson. I shame however cause I much prefer the Buffalo airport but not worth the 2 hour drive each way.

I have noticed that in years past the flight prices would fluctuate greatly week to week and so if you watched you could catch a good deal. It seems though that JetBlue and Southwest have now adopted a different pricing strategy. Basically they price the seats on the plane, release them, the cheapest ones book first then it becomes more expensive and on and on. Hence why it will often say "3 more seats left at this price" and if you search their site for 1 person you have a better chance of finding a deal than if you search for 4 people (because if there are only 3 seats left at the lower price, and you search for 4 it will tell you everyone is the higher price). That said we just booked over canadian thanksgiving on JetBlue for $109 per person each way direct. The next day the prices were up to 146 on the way there and 135 on the way back. Now the prices are up again to 146 both ways. We are also going in May for 109 each way (on southwest). Could be worse
