Hi all!

It's a simple question, but i don't ask it lightly...believe me i've looked for the answer but for some reason I am having trouble finding the answer...

I want to visit the AoA resort, but:

My WDW property map doesn't have AoA on it. The disney website has all good information except where it is on property. Google has the address as "Animation Way," thanks. Google maps has a pin vaguely around osceola way. From what I can gather on the threads, it's near Pop, but the gate is different.

Help! Please tell me where it is on property.

Thanks.

It is right next to Pop Century. It is what was going to be the second half of Pop Century. The entrance is on Victory Way.

I haven't been, but we plan on going over to look around, and grab a bite at their food court, the selections look really good. I plan on taking the bus from a park to get there.

Thank you all! I'll head to Pop then and look for signs. And grab a bite to eat.

You can access it from Pop, I believe, by crossing the now-opened Generation Gap Bridge.

A map from Robo would enlighten you further as his maps always do.

Here's a link to the total concept of Pop Century resort. http://www.yesterland.com/legendary.html
And here's a cool 3 minute YouTube video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bSc1fG0ETeY

One half of Pop Century resort was completed and themed for the decades of 1950-1960-1970-1980-1990. With events of September 11, 2001, construction of the other half of the resort was cancelled. For 10 years, on the west side of Hourglass Lake, across Generation Gap bridge, the partially constructed "Legendary Years" half of Pop Century resort lay abandoned. Guests at Pop Century resort could look across at a few partially built 4-story structures and an unfinished lobby/food court main building. Visible were large iconic numbers indicating early 20th Century decades -- 00-10-20-30-40.

The pic below shows the abandoned site after resuming construction. You can see an old building foundation faintly. But bulldozers have cleaned up the site, and paving has been added in this picture. Generation Gap bridge is now open between the east and west sides of the lake.

AoA is worth a visit. AoA's food court has some nifty new food you won't find elsewhere at WDW.
